do you believe in ghosts/

I don't know really, I mean there is one in my grandma's house because I got strange scratches on my legs and arms when I went over there two years ago two times that year. First time was during halloween and the 2nd time it was Thanksgiving. And my grandma keeps saying that there always one picture frame that falls off her desk all the time. I don't know if my grandpa believes in all that, but I don't know. The scratches were like scars and my brother got some too and on that day of Thanksgiving, the lights went out in my grandpa's house too on that day.

Yeah, just seems natural to me. I bet one day we will have tech to explain a lot of paranormal phenomena

Not really, but I am keeping my mind open on this one as I am with life elsewhere in the universe or galaxy.

Yes as I've had experiences with them and my family has a history of supernatural phenomenon events. It does make me angry though regarding ghost hunters as I believe you shouldn't try to stir things up and I would never play with a ouija board.

yeah I feel you on the ouija board my mom said a bunch of weird/scary stuff started happening in her apartment after playing with one with a friend.

I don’t remember the details great but I remember her cat started acting really strange and scared often staring off at nothing also her bed sheets got pulled off her one night. I don’t think she was making it up bc she seems pretty scared when I mention it and wouldn’t talk to me about it when I was really young

I wouldn't say I definitely believe in ghosts but I wouldn't say I Don't believe in them

I should also say that the media does make it hard to believe ghosts tbh. Media makes it waaaayy more overexaggerated and fake. Most ghost shows if not all are fake, so it s understandable have a hard time believing

Absolutely I believe in ghosts. I took a picture of the window in a very old house one night, a house nobody lives in, and there's faces visible inside

I don't believe in ghosts. In fact I am actually really bothered by the idea. I would absolutely hate for my passed loves ones to be stuck here in this world as ghosts, the idea of that breaks my heart.

a bit, yeah. i don’t think they’re like anything seen in horror movies nor do i believe in any demonic entities but i do think that their existence is entirely possible; the thought of it creeps me out a little but i also find it sort of fascinating, too ;u;

I don't, but who's to say my opinion on it won't change one day? Anything could happen.

I don't want to say no, because then the boogeyman might come out to make me think otherwise.

I can't discount the possibility that there are ghosts. However, I personally haven't experienced any paranormal phenomena - and I'm ****ing glad I haven't.

I do. Well I am not sure what they are specifically (humans or something else). But I am sure they exist, which re-reading this sounds crazy lol.
Beings can look like humans if they want to I guess is what I am trying to say so it is hard to know if they are humans or just other beings of some sort. There are also so many cultures and religions that talk about these kinds of things. I have also had my own experiences. Spirits are real.

Personally I don't believe in ghosts, but I don't dismiss those who do. I think for people who experience the supernatural, it's a very real event to them and it can help them cope with loss of a loved one or through turbulent changes in their lives.

My personal theory is that ghost sightings tend to happen when a person is stressed, grieving, or other, strong emotions that put strain on their psyche. The lack of sleep and turbulent emotions can make people temporary see/hear/touch/smell things that aren't physically there. The brain is having a hard time processing information due to stress and tries to find patterns in the darkness that make sensory sense, but it gets muddled and mixed up and interprets a "ghostly" presence instead. Pareidolia is an example of how our mind tries to find human faces in things like clouds and inanimate objects. In the dark, our brains have a much harder time processing shapes and even sounds, especially if we're already scared to begin with.

Sleep paralysis is also another explanation of ghostly encounters. People often have a sense of doom, fear, and a feeling that someone/something is watching them, which is very typical of a haunting. If someone reports that a ghost visited them in their room or beside their bed at night, more than likely it’s probably a sleep paralysis episode. I myself experienced sleep paralysis and it was really scary. I couldn't move when I saw a "ghost" float towards me. Eventually, I woke up and I could move again and the ghost was gone. Scary, but apparently really common, especially when someone is stressed out.

If you want to watch how ghost sightings can help a community cope with loss, I highly recommend the episode "Tsunami Spirits", on Season 2 of Unsolved Mysteries on Netflix. Warning, it's a sad episode but I think it really illustrates how a belief in spirits can help individuals with grieving in places like Japan where it's taboo to seek mental health counseling.

i don't have any belief in ghosts or a lot of the supernatural in general but no disrespect at all to those who do! despite this i still get freaked out by ghost stories lol. i am simply a scaredy cat..........

I would say I believe but I am not fully sure..... Although I have had this experience:

I had a friend who would sit on the side of my bed against the wall when I was a small child and I would talk to him it was an old man who had a very calm and gentle voice. He would visit me at night and wake me up so we could talk about my day and was fully white. But I wasn't scared I was happy to talk to him.

I am now 24 and my parents think I am crazy when I remind them off that story but I remember it so clearly.

I do. I've had a few encounters that I couldn't explain otherwise, as have various members of my family. My father used to see a man standing under the willow tree in his back yard that matched the description of his grandfather (who had been shot when my grandmother was 11, so my dad never met him).

I lived in a house that had the ghost of (we think) a cat or small dog. It used to sleep on my bed, with the cats, and would play with them. There were several times my roommate and I saw my cat Blaze rolling around with something and come up off the floor, as if he had rolled over another animal. We called the ghost Elvis. :)

In my house now, there's someone who pops in on me once in a while. I'm guessing it's my grandmother. I never see anything, although the cats will stare at a spot, but I always smell lilac, no matter what time of year it is. After a few minutes, it goes away.

No, I don't believe in ghosts. I've listened to enough "scary true stories" on YouTube to know that the scariest creatures are people. Do some fake ghosts freak me out when I look at renditions of them? Absolutely. I like watching people play horror games with cutesy disguises and accidentally subjected myself to the scariest image I had seen in awhile a few weeks ago (it was a ghost in a game called "Cooking Companions"). I'm 20 years old and I still get creeped out when I think about that thing.

I don't believe in ghosts, but I saw something that definitely looked like a ghost and experienced really strange things, and because my family saw it too, I like to call it "collective hallucination".

My favorite ghosts are cat ghosts, you know when you are sure a cat got into your bed and walking on your legs but when you look, there is nothing?
