Do you care what their houses look like?

Now that we have Happy Home Paradise with the feature to change villager interiors I can finally change those horrendous outdoor interiors into what I think the villager could've had.

I thought I'd update my thoughts since April last year!

I unlocked the ability to redesign the homes of villagers on your own island a little while ago (I've been going slowly!), so I am really liking making customised houses for my villagers! I am basing their houses off of their appearance, favourite colours, personality and hobby. I started with Agnes, and so far I've only redesigned two houses, but I plan on customising all of them.

And Louie finally has a bed.

I usually don’t care as much about the interior, I like that they can express their personally. I do care a bit more about the exterior, although that’s not something you can change at all. I’m trying to design a darker theme for my island and want to avoid villagers that have brighter exteriors on their homes.
That being said, I care way more about their personality so I’ll put up with an ugly house to have a villager if I like them enough. Katt’s house exterior isn’t my favorite but I love her so much I’ll work around it. Her interior fits her perfectly though it’s trash bags and band equipment

I choose both because I Def run a dictatorship To be honest tho I don't actually want to change that much of my villagers houses as my dreamies exteriors already fit the theme I'm planning and the interior for most are fine. I will definitely be fixing rasher's house when I unlocked the ability (haven't been playing lately) as he deserves the ramshackle hut he had in New leaf

I don't really care, but now that we can customize their homes, I redecorated a couple of the worse homes on my island, being Tangy and Melba (two of my first villagers, who got the DIY homes), Anabelle (deserved a beach theme), and Frett (a mess).

Yeah I did the same thing and Beau moved to my island recently and I got rid of his outdoor interior for like a more Log Cabin theme with all the Log Furniture.

You can change the exteriors with HHP. Though unfortunately I'm aware not everyone can afford it. It sucks because I wasn't ready to change my villagers house exteriors yet and I was gonna do it when I was done decorating my island but when I was re-doing Spike's house Tom Nook forced me to change Spike's exterior so I changed Spike's roof and door to the black versions of them.

I just keep putting it off but it will probably be worth it in the end
