Do you care what their houses look like?

It doesn't bother me what their houses look like. I still have two villagers living in starter homes.

Doesn't worry me at all, any villagers and any house exterior/interior are just fine with me. I'm not one for strict theming to that extent, otherwise, it just becomes too stressful for me.

I kind of care about the exterior but I just try to segregate the houses based on the area of the island that most fits them. Interior-wise not really, I personally don’t visit villagers houses when I visit DAs so I didn’t think others would care when they visit my DA too.

Yeah. it's really annoying when they start decorating their home with stuff like fish/bugs, or clothing articles. I've been trying to cycle out some hideous clothes some of my villagers keep insisting on wearing. I've given them so much shirts and the such that the unfitting clothes should had cycled out already. But they keep wearing it after almost a year lol. And they just decorate their home with the clothes I gave them. It'd be one thing if they hung them on the wall, but they use the half mannequins instead.

It's the last time I deliver packages for Curlos. His taste in clothes is horrible.

I've never cared what my villagers houses looked like. The exterior/interior of their house is what it is, and there's no real reason for me to not invite them to or kick them from my island if I want them on it just because of their house. I still have 3 starter houses as well and it's never bothered me, lol.

I kinda care what the houses look like. I certainly don't want to give them too many bugs or fish. In my opinion it just doesn't look as great.

I care about villager houses but really more the interior than exterior. I think it’s because most exteriors are at least okay even if not perfect. Some of the interior designs are terrible though - I really wanted Kat on my island but she literally lives in a house full of cardboard and trash bags. Veto.

I care more about the outside and the surroundings. I do occasionaly give them items but my villagers seem to be outside way more than I need to go inside their houses to find them so I actually don't often visit the insides ;o

And how did you know I run a dictatorship? That shouldn't have left the island :/

No, I don’t mind at all what their houses look like, both inside and out. Though occasionally I do try to make sure their houses are nice and neat, so maybe I do?... I don’t know. Really it’s up to the villager on how they want their houses to be and I normally don’t deny a request when they ask. I don’t like being mean to my villagers.

I dont really care! As long as the house makes them happy!! The design choices are questionable sometimes though.....

No, I don't care in the sense that it doesn't factor in to the villagers I want living on my island. The houses, themselves, though, don't seem as interesting as they did before, because lots of furniture series from previous entries still aren't in this game.

I use to, to some degree. I didn't mind it changing overall if the changes were minor. But if the changes were definitely noticeable it did bother me somewhat. But with the recent addition of being able to permanently modify a villager's house to your liking, with the bonus that I've heard that they won't even change their interior... I've sort of stopped caring about the looks, since I'm in control of it anyway.

both because i run a dictatorship??? really? LOL! i changed all the colors of the villagers homes because of my towns theme. black houses dont go with a white themed town. im not a dictator, i just like comprehensive coloring.

Sure, it's nice if the exterior matches the aesthetic, but the villager is what I'm after. I also don't care much about the interior since I tend to give my villagers random stuff and a lot of clothes (which they display anyway).

I am still hoping that there would be an option to reset the villagers furniture someday though.

Quoting myself on this because my hope of resetting villager house layouts was actually implemented, and we are actually given more. House customization is a blessing in this game.

I find that Mitzi's house is very plain, but she's one of my faves so she's staying no matter what. I think that Apollo's house is one of the best (and is totally not biased on my behalf.)
Writing these posts have made me realize that my vocabulary is a bit strange for a teenager to use on a daily basis.

Not a biased opinion, If I re-call I think Apollo had my favorite house interior(he definitely has my favorite exterior though) in terms of I'd love to live in Apollo's house IRL, he has my favorite color scheme in his house, neutral colors, bonus points Apollo plays one of if not my favorite song K.K Rock in his house 24/7 so when I walk in it's music to my ears.

With HHP I no longer care, before HHP I still kept my villagers houses "clean" by making safety precautions not to ruin their houses but I wouldn't care because all the villagers that currently live on my island(besides Spike, who was purposely hunted for on a mystery island tour) were invited in by amiibo, so I can kick them out and invite them back to reset their house. I gave Spike the immunity of his house being ruined because I used HHP to re-design it and now he will never display items I give him.

No and yes. In new leaf it didnt matter but in this game with more options to decorate I wanted the houses to look similar but now I can just change them how ever I want.
