Do you collect villager photos?

absolutely !! when i first started out, i loved getting photos but wouldn't actively farm them or anything,, but ! the feeling of being handed a photo when i least expect it is something i've just come to adore, so eventually i started really trying to get them. i've dedicated my second floor room to photos & actually put work into villager friendships (it helps that i love most of my current villagers w my whole heart. marina ilysm)

Yes! Only usually from my permanent residents as I have a few plots that I cycle new villagers in until I can find the last 2 that fit in. I started in February, and so far I've got:
Buck - 3 (Come on Buck, I need that 4th photo!)
Al - 4
Roscoe - 3
Lionel - 2
Boomer - 2

I've written this before but Vic has been in one of the original plots, and he I usually give him gifts, talk to him, visit when he requests and let him come to my house. I've tried every tip (Gift wrapping non native fruit, items over 10,000 bells for a week, keeping my pockets full, as someone said if they have to mail you their gift, there is a higher percentage to be their photo) to get his photo but nothing! That cranky bull really must hate me!

I do not. Unless I’m planning on displaying the picture somewhere, I don’t see a point of me collecting them. So far, I haven’t displayed any villager pictures.
I also don’t have a large storage space since I never fully upgrade my houses with basements. Without the basement, I can’t ask for a bigger storage, and without storage, I cannot collect something that I won’t be using.

I have my 10 villagers and the NPC photos. They all are sitting in storage. While I was going for HHA trophies, I displayed them on the wall, but once that was done, I didn't need to have them out anymore.

I'm not worried about other villagers, although there are a few I like outside my 10. But I have cards for most of my favorite villagers, so I can scan them in at Harv's and get the poster.

I've collected them from most villagers I've had before letting them go, and actively try to get them before they move away. But there were some villagers who I just didn't really end up caring for, especially early on, so I let them go without a picture. I have a wall of villager pictures in the basement of my house, which is almost full at this point! I've got mostly permanent villagers now, and once I get the pictures of my final 10, that's it for me unless I end up changing my mind and swapping someone out.

I collect them for villagers who have passed through the town or are permanent residents. Outside of that, I only pick up photos for the sake of having one when I visit giveaways and the like. If they count, I also enjoy picking up NPC photos, especially if they're ones that have stayed on my island before (Flick, Wisp, Labelle, etc.).

I display the photos in one of my extra villager homes, but only those who have been on the island at least once! Islanders/NPCs who haven't visited before remain in my storage in case I want to use them in the future, and the only photo on my island itself is Wisp - it goes well with the decor in one area.

I do collect photos, but not only those of my dreamies. I'm proudly one of those crazy and rare players whose purpose is to collect ALL photos. I can't help myself, I just adore gazing at the endless plethora of framed colorful cute villager pictures!
I started the hunt in early june, today I have 311 photos.

My main character has one of each for every villager current and past. Any extra's I store in my second house, incase there are people who want to trade.

My second island in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, which I named “ACNLpics,” has all the villager pictures. (Its Dream Address is in my current signature.)

Due to it being more laborious, I have not bothered to try to get the pictures of even all the villagers who are currently on my main island, “Óhana,” in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. (Its Dream Address: 2180–2897–5991.)

I love this game. But, sometimes, it can be too much. This is one such example.

In theory. But oftentimes I get so annoyed waiting for a villager to give me their photo, I boot them off the island before I get it and tell myself I'll get it in a trade with someone then never do.

I like to time travel so giving gifts to villagers and earning their photos is pretty easy to do. I'm hoping to earn all 413 villager photos eventually.

I collect the photos of my favs so I can hang them up in my house :D the others I'm not really too fussed, not that I don't like them but I just won't have a place for them you know?

Yes, I have on my island called Easy Street. This is not my original idea to put their photos next to their houses, but I crafted the Cancer tables to put them on, with floor lights in front. So easy to see where they live!

only my permanent villagers. i had to really work to get some of them though despite farming for friendship points equally with everyone everyday.

For me, I'm the opposite..I made sure to collect them in New Leaf, and don't care as much about them in New Horizons. Since we have the option to change the colour of the picture frame in New Horizons, it feels less special, and less collectable, than it was in New Leaf, they were all their own specific colour! I loved them! Certain colours matched with certain villagers, and I loved it! I used the different pics to decorate depending on what colour it was and what the room's aesthetic was going to be. So no, I don't care about collecting the photos as much as I loved to collect the pics in New Leaf.

I'm very laid back when I play AC games so I don't actively try to get picture frames, but in New Leaf I had a couple just from naturally talking to my villagers a lot! I unfortunately haven't been able to get any picture frames in New Horizons (chronic resetter and haven't played in a while lmao) but I would be delighted to get one!

Yes I do and its the only thing I do in the game since I've done pretty much everything else. Of course I am trying to take it easy.
