Do you collect villager photos?

I collect photos of villagers I owned as well as the photos for the NPCs.

nope, i never tried to obtain my villagers photos before letting them leave, but i think its a cute idea so sometimes i wish i had. oh well lol id probably just keep most of them in storage anyways. i do want to eventually collect the photos of my current villagers and add them to my photo wall

I do! I collect all my villager’s photos and display them outside of their house! That way, guests can see whose house it is without always having to consult the map.

This is a recent thing that I started doing last year because I liked how in ACNL, villagers with high friendship would write you a goodbye letter and attach their photos. But when I saw that NH didn’t have that, I was devastated. So, for the first 4 villagers that I had and moved out after high friendship, I didn’t get theirs because I didn’t know you wouldn’t get a photo.

I always get my vilkager’s photos first before I allow them to leave. It’s a neat way for me to remember that my villagers left on good terms with me before they left.

It's the main thing that keeps me playing the game long term. Gifting for photo's and then TT'ing for new campers.

I then display the photo's in my house. I'm on the last wall of my main room. Not sure how many that is, but I'll keep going until I have as many as I can get. I am up to around 87 so far.

If anyone has NPC photo's to trade, lmk.

yeah, i suppose so! i usually try and get a photo from each of my villagers before letting them leave, but if it's a villager i care less about or i'm just wanting a bit of change on the island, i won't be upset to let them go without getting it. i also won't go out of my way to obtain other villager photos, it's more just a way for me to memorialise who i've had on my island over time

I collect a few here and there. I don't try to get a photo from every villager that is on my island, because I'm constantly switching my villagers around and that would just give me a headache.

But I have made sure to get photos of my all-time faves like Alfonso, Wolfgang, Skye, Julian.
I am currently on a mission to get Shino's as well, since she has recently been moved to my favourites list.

I would like to make more of an effort to get the photos at some point, but at the moment I'm more interested in decorating my island.

I keep them but I don't go out of my way to collect them. I've only had one received from Marina since she's the only villager I like talking to, while every other villager feels like a chore to chat lol.

i do, but not to the extent where i would buy them off of other people or bother with (most) NPC photos. i always make sure to have a villager's photo before letting them move out, although some take longer than others. (i received a duplicate of julia's before i ever got skye's, and skye was there for weeks beforehand.) i kind of collect the posters too, but only in the cataloguing sense -- i've never actually bought and displayed any of them. as soon as a new villager moves in, i invite them to harv's before i forget and then immediately leave again lol.

The player must now talk to a villager on 10 different days after obtaining their photo for the game to determine if the player can receive another photo from that villager.

I don't actively go for them, but it's always a nice surprise to get them from whomever happens to be in town at the time.

Of course, at the same time, winding up with a photo -- sometimes even duplicates! -- off all your neighbors except the last one or two can be amusingly baffling. 'why are you the only one who hates me?!'

I don't aim to unless they are villagers who are staying on my island. Mostly because, what am I going to do with all of these photos? I would rather have a log menu for that. However, I do make sure I have everyone's poster registered via Harvey whose been on my island. It's kinda like a log menu

Yeah I collect all my villager photos. I think it’s nice to see who I’ve had on my island, as I don’t have permanent residents like many people. All my villagers are free to leave after I’ve gotten their photos.

I used to collect them in New Leaf all the time! Honestly I completely forgot about it in NH, I remembered it only a few days ago while reading threads in the forum. I just started again, luckily I'm still collecting all my dream villagers so I don't care for the pictures of the one who left the island, except probably for Skye. Right now I'm gifting fruit every day to the villagers, hopefully they'd give them to me soon, I really want to expose them in my house

Yes but no lol. I do actively try to get them from most of my villagers but if I dont like them I let them leave without getting it. And I'm not trying to get every villager whose photo I might want and I have no amiibo cards so no npc pics that must be gotten that way. I have the ones you get from the nooklink app and rover. My problem is no space for all of them. I have been putting photos of villagers I have in front of their houses. Once they move it goes on the wall in my basement. I also have a couple posters and the hhp photo.

Collecting them ASAP isn't a priority to me but I do try to get them before they leave. The only villager picture I couldn't get was Quillson's, who was my first smug and I amiibo-kicked out before he could. I kind of regret that. I have all of my current villager's pics but I've had the same set of 10 villagers for a longggg time now. I don't collect photos of villagers that don't live on my island but sometimes my friends will gift me their duplicates. I love receiving these, since a lot of my friend's villagers have also stuck around for a long time and I like to visit them as well.

Yeah. I don't usually go out of my way to get them unless I think I'm close, but I have my collection on display.

Posters are something I do collect as much as I can. My basement's walls filled up.

I collect every villager photo from villagers that I like. Its a painful process at times because I tend to give the same presents all the time, but its really worth it when they finally give me their photo. My latest one was from Drago and I still have 4 villagers on my island that haven't given me their photo yet so it'll be a while before I cycle villagers out.
