I usually only play through the main story mode, I really only aim for completion if I loved the game and it offers good replay value after completing the main game.
Kinda? If it's part of the main game I do it. But if I love the game I go and do all the other side events. Like South Park SOT, and TFBW, I completed both of them and all the side missions. I tend to enjoy side quests, especially for special rewards.
In animal crossing I realized how close I am too completing the museum, and so have been working on that. I have only the Stringfish left, then sea creatures, and art left. But it depends on the game.
I usually only finish the main story and collect what I’m interested in. 100%-ing feels like a chore for me - although I sometimes feel it would do the game justice if I did, but most of the time I can’t find the motivation to grind just for 100%.
It really depends on the game. If I really enjoy one, I'll definitely try to 100% it. Somewhat depends on the state of the achievements themselves, too, some are very time consuming and not worth it in my opinion.
It depends on the game for me! If I really love a game and it's more-or-less reasonably doable, I'll often go for 100% completion or something close to it*, but a lot of the time I'm happy just completing the main story (plus any postgame story content, if there is any). Of course, if there's any extra side content that interests me, I'll play through it even if I'm not going for completion! And with games that have multiple paths/endings, sometimes I'll only complete the one(s) I'm interested in and call it good there too.
*insert grumbling about Dragon Quest XI S's super tough horse-racing achievements, and a couple of casino achievements that rely purely on astronomical RNG...
I think I usually just complete the story. I'll usually do a bit extra and push myself further after the story, but it's pretty rare that I try to 100% a game. I know I've done it with a few games, but I probably only 2-3 in my lifetime sdkfkf.
i'm not a completionist. i just finish the main story and do the best i can during that run. i don't really like replaying games as the experience the second time around kinda loses its magic for me personally.
The only game that I have 100% completed recently was that pinball game with the beetle attached to the ball called Yoku’s Island Express.
In Pokémon and in Zelda games, I finish the storyline. I have never bothered to complete a Pokédex nor have I taken a picture of all the items in Zelda or looked for all the Korok seeds.
One of my friends collected all the Korok seeds for BotW and was SO disappointed by the prize at the end. She didn’t look it up in advance because she wanted a surprise. She sure was indeed surprised by it XD
It depends on how easy it is, and how close I already am to 100% completion after a certain point in the game. If I'm already nearly there, that can make me think "sure, why not" and go back for whatever I missed (unless I'd have to start the game over for it).
Otherwise, I just complete the main story. I have more fun if I can play at my own pace, and making myself go for 100% completion when there's a lot to do for it can slow me down too much.
Depends on the game, the difficulty and how much time I have when I’m into it, but generally just the main story, plus a little bit of extra stuff until I get bored.
