in watching and re-watching chuggaaconroy's platinum let's play, i've come to realise i am simply a berry farmer

all i know is serebii berry growing guide and check game every hour

i'd love to know if anyone else does this?

i've never played a pokemon game where berry farming was a thing lmao, but i also doubt i would go through the hassle because i don't really use the berries. i give me flareon a sitrus one to hold in the battle tower, but that's it. i "farm" berries in SWSH in the sense that i go around and shake all the trees most days, but i only shake the trees on the isle of armor and chase around the berry girl because i only care about the apricorn berries for the minuscule chances of getting the rare balls.

I've never done any berry farming. It's a mechanic I more or less forget about in the games where it's implemented.

Its very important to me at the moment. Im breeding many Feebas and in order to evolve them to Milotic, you need to feed it Poffins which are made from Dry berries. You can identify a Berry's flavour by seeing its Berry Tag. Popular dry berries for getting Dry Poffins are Pamtre and Micle berries. I've been farming many Pamtre and Cornn Berries since I havent obtained the Micle berry yet. I don't use any guides, but I've noticed that berry plants grow more berries when you've planted the same berry in one dirt patch. I water them often and I get good results.

Same, unless it's for getting up Feebas' beauty I usually be like.. no bro. Sad but true lmao

I usually don't because of how frequently you need to check in on the berries to have a fruitful harvest, but I'm finding myself growing berries this time around... There's really no need for me to since I'm not a contest person and absolutely suck at making Poffins and such, but I decided to do so in towns like Solaceon and Pastoria since I visit them frequently for dailies anyways.

Not really, I may occasionally replant some berries in order to get more, but I don't do it often.

I really don’t do much berry farming. It wasn’t a feature that interested me much in the game.

Nah, I always pick them up and replant them, but that's it.

I feel like ive never needed berries past the early game. buying items at the store is just more practical

maybe in competitive berry farming is more important

I use to never ever farm berries until I started getting into VGC in SW/SH, and then wanted to go back and play XY and try to get streaks in the battle tower (that I could never do as a kid) so I would farm berries to reset EVs and use in battle on my 3DS for fun lol. Now I might do the same in BDSP since I want to try their multiplayer battling and stuff
