Do you hate hearing your own voice?

My voice makes me sound a lot younger then I actually am. Which makes it hard when I have to answer phones at my work. BUT on the bright side, I can sing a few songs pretty decently which isn't all that bad.

My voice sounds waaaaay deeper then what I hear. It also sounds like another person randomly... funny enough I got my brother to hear my recorded voice and he agreed that it sounded nothing like my voice, so I guess that goes for everyone who records their voice?

I've gotten used to it after making enough YT videos. I still think I sound a bit young, and I have a slight accent but I can't really tell what kind of accent it is (German maybe???? idk). It's unique but not super strange, so I like it.

oh god yes. it's very screechy and loud. the femininity of it and my dysphoria also mix very poorly...

I actually hate hearing my voice in recordings and videos as well. I'm not sure why that is the case, but every time I am shown a video of my self, I leave the room or tune it out the best I can.

Wow TIL lots of people hate their voice. I like mine somewhat.. It just gets really singsongy out of nowhere which bothers me..

i hate mine, its so weird to hear it recorded tbh and everytime i do im like wow people actually listen to That clown?

Yes definitely. I hate my own voice, it sounds really deep for a girl. Every time I hear my own voice played back to me I always sound super tired and boyish.

i love my voice! it's so even, not too deep and not too high
but i definitely love people with deep voices! especially female, i just could melt listening to them talk c':

idk why it won?t let me post here :/ maybe third try will work...

i really hate my voice, i completely sound like a boy :( wish it was a bit girly at least...

I really hate my voice and my accent. I wish my voice was deeper. It?s worse when I speak in Korean, it goes a whole octave higher T_T I cringe whenever I hear playbacks of my voice.

If it's a recording of me (which is so rare that I can't even think of an example) then yeah, I don't like it. It just feels weird for some reason. I also don't like seeing myself, which I think may have the same reason why.

When I talk I don't mind my voice but when I hear recordings of my voice it makes me cringe so much. It just sounds so different to how I actually hear myself when I talk. Sounds a lot more high pitched and annoying in recordings ahahaha

Yes omf my voice is 100% traaaasssssshhhhhhh lmao

But then again I'm seeing a pattern here...

Same like all the other girls in my classes sound like... idk actual girls?? And then there's me xDDD

Yes I hate the sound of my voice very much. It's very very deep and I don't like it at all. I don't hear the deepness of it until I listen to is on recordings though, to me sometimes my voice sounds at normal pitch but I know in reality it really isn't lol. Some people have said that they really like my voice though? And I'm always like why?? One person said I'd make an ideal news presenter with my voice and that still confuses me to be honest.

I honestly do. I sound so weird on video. I have no idea how I sound if I?m actually in person. I know our voices are heard differently by ourselves.

Don’t know if I mentioned this already, but my voice sounds like a nerd when recorded, but sounds fine IRL, and I have no idea why... lol

Oh yeah. (I'm FtM, which adds to the hatred) I play the uke so I typically record just to listen and almost critique myself, and sometimes I sing. Even when my friend snipes me on snapchat I feel so.....yuck.

YES! I can't help but mumble and slur words sometimes, and it's super annoying. Basically eliminates any job where talking is important, too, lol.
