Do you have an accent?

Brazilian here. I learned English 8 years ago (through Animal Crossing, by the way lol) and since then I practice so much every day (by practice, understand I waste time in Netflix) I doubt my accent is noticeable. Of course listening practice isn't the same as speaking practice, but after some time the sounds are internalized in you. Some American people heard me speaking and said they wouldn't have known I wasn't a native speaker. I do wish I had kept an accent though... the Brazilian accent is so cute.

yes i have a very ugly posh irish accent that just sounds like bootleg west london

I have a slight New Yorker accent. People say it's WAY smaller than most, but still technically considered an accent.

It's strange. I don't ever sit down and think about the fact that I have an accent, but when I went up to Connecticut earlier this year, everyone there made it a point to say that I had a Pennsylvanian accent, which honestly bothered me a bit. I try my best to speak as properly as possible, to enunciate as best as possible, but I suppose there are a few hiccups along the way. Now that I've come back, I can't help but notice the occasional accented speech pop up and it drives me absolutely bonkers.

Well I'm from the midwest but there's a lotta things that Midwest ppl say that I don't say (like "worsh" when they mean wash, like what even is that). I don't really have an accent that's noticeable but I'm sure if someone from another country or smth heard me they would think I did :p

I currently I have a basic American accent, but my accent can be influenced very easily based on who I spent time with.

This is me haha. I was born and raised in Korea but I started off learning English in a British-International schooling system and then I switched to an American system. I have a pretty basic American accent and most people who have heard my voice will think I am American but I'm not. There are also some words that I still say in a more british way I guess? It's really easy for me to pick up accents depending on where I am living or who I am with. I lived in Malaysia for 5 years and I also picked up some nuances of that accent.

Adopted a lot of Maritime English. Canadian raising is common and I have some quick speech patterns where a string of words sounds like one word. My parents have always had a defined “out” and ”about“ and their defined “out” has extended to my speech.

Not entirely related but I was saying “chipotEH” instead of “chipotle” until recently. That was an embarrassing realization.

I have the most THICKEST AND INDESCIFRABLE Asian accent, can anyone else relate? I honestly hate it lol

Technically everyone does lol. I obviously have a "Canadian" accent, you know, whatever that means lol

Midlands Irish accent! I don't pronounce the 'th' or 'ing' in words. It's weird,, depending on the word I pronounce the 'th' as either 't' or 'd'

I really didn't think I did but I went to some amish sale somewhere before and this guy told me I had an accent??? I'm from Michigan so I guess I have a Michigan accent but I don't think it's that strong or different enough to notice too much

My mom bullies me and tells me I sound like Sofia Vergara. I rather take it like a compliment.

I never thought I had an accent until I was talking with my cousin from North Carolina a few years ago and she was like "yeah you sound really northern" so I guess I have a northern US accent. I've also been told I sound gay
