Does anyone here enjoy making the perspective builds? Like the castles, large trees, horse stables, or anything like that?

I’ve only done one which was an rv/travel trailer that’s on the beach made with booths and standees.

If you’ve done any builds like this please let me know! I kinda want to try my hand at making more of them. For reference my island is very nature and cottagecore centric. Not a lot of elaborate builds, but if you know any forest/nature/cottagecore ones let me know!

The only two fake buildings I've created on my island was a guillotine (made out of standees + simple panels) and I added a store front/bar. I made it to my best of my abilities to be semi-functional as it has a side entrance to enter. That was a really hard one to create, haha.

Here's one of the storefront examples that I was inspired by. I used the arch, medieval walls, castle walls, storefronts and retro transportation stops. So less prettier than this.

As far as ones I've come across, I've seen the trailer one you mentioned, run down trains, little restaurants, and a treehouse.

I love these buildings and stuff people make with simple panels and all the new furniture from the 2.0 update they all look so cool but I don't know how you make these

they're fun to play around with but i always end up pulling mine down before finishing because they're impractical... they're fun to look at though😭 my faves are the ones that look Really far away which use the mini RV models, dollhouses, sideways beehives, etc.

I used to not like them because it was very hard to pull off the perspective illusion before the 2.0 update...but with the introduction of the castle walls and other items it seems much easier to build areas like this and I really like them!

Before the last update I had one large perspective tree and it was so fussy and took up so much room that I really didn't want to build any other areas like that. I used to try to achieve differences in perspective with custom designs as well, most of which looked fake, especially early on. Now my whole island is basically one big perspective illusion! I've got a huge castle now, a big walled in multi-level shopping center, covered bridges, and more!

For those having trouble with them, theres loads of tutorials online if you're up for it. I usually would try and follow them and riff off that when I was struggling at first.

I absolutely *adore* seeing them on people's islands, but the closest I've gotten to actually making one myself is the time i made a 'treehouse', and that mostly just relied on a few simple panels and was nowhere near as intricate as some of the ones i've seen of city alleyways, castles, shops etc

oh actually i also did a mini house/godzilla/campervan thing on one of the rocks behind the island but i feel like that's a different calibre of perspective builds

I like the look of them and enjoy seeing pictures. It takes a good bit of creativity to make these. I'm not inclined to make them on my island, mainly because I'd find them a little hard to deal with on a daily basis, at least with my design.

i'm not a fan of them on my island since i think they look weird when you move around them. when they're viewed from the right angle they look super cool though!

I find it's harder to make them due to the way ACNH works. For example, I made a small perspective build in Harv's, and I thought it looked great! But when it came to executing it on the island, it fell flat because of the cylindrical island. I just couldn't get the camera to show it as well as it was in Harv's studio, and it kept revealing something that isn't ordinarily noticeable if you approach it on a flat surface.

I think they look cool, but I don't really have any on my own island for that reason. Unless you count the castle, but that's mostly functional.

I like looking at what others can do, but I would never be able to do that.
Besides the point that I currently don't have any room on my island to do that already...

I like looking at them in dream islands.
I don’t like them for my island. Sometimes the perspective builds take up a lot of room and a lot of custom designs. Most of my island because of the path I put down, leaves little room for these large designs.
