do you like the way flowers work now?

at first i was annoyed that the changed the mechanics of the flowers, but now i love it! i appreciate that even if they get trampled, the flowers will grow back.

I also like how they grow back. However, I still dislike the whole 'native flower' thing. Flowers are much harder to get. I really want roses, but I can't find them anywhere and my friends have other flowers. It's just stupid.

I personally think it’s tedious having to dig them up. I miss being able to just pick them up, but I do like how they do grow back though and are tougher. With the whole native flower thing, I think it’s cool, but annoying trying to get all the flowers I want.

I love how they grow back when you trample them. I also love how they don't seem to wither if you forget to water them.

What I don't like is how there are native flowers now, and picking them up to move them require you to use a tool rather than simply pick them up.

I hate the whole native flower thing, but the flowers themselves and how they work is prefect in my opinion. I can run through them without a care in the world now. Wish violets made the cut though, no doubt they would've looked cute in this game.

Really really really don't like the native flower thing (I ended up with probably my least favourite type as my native, how fun) but there don't seem to be any real game consequences for it thus far so that isn't too bad. Everything else (picking flower heads, more robust to running, growth stages, no wilting, shovelling to pick up) has either been an objective improvement or something that just takes getting used to imo. I think it also makes gardening/arranging/hybrid breeding a more intensive task than in previous games, which I personally enjoy but I can see how others may not like.

My only other gripe would be the seemingly random allocation of which seeds you can buy at Nook's (so far?) but I guess that's more a shop problem rather than flower mechanic.

I still do not like/am used to the new flower system. (Didn’t it take only one day after planting a new flower for it to grow fully in NL?) I feel like it takes too long for flowers to fully grow and look beautiful in New Horizons... also because I was used to being able to pick up flowers and move them without having to dig them up first! I always grab the petals off the flowers and then they look ugly until the next day... minor complaint butttttt...

I seem to be in the minority, but I like it. The only improvement would be if dug up flowers could stack. At first I was a bit bummed with the whole native flower and limited shop choices, but it seems the other flower types are available later on in the game. Getting hybrids could be easier as well.

Yes and no.

I like it because they'll regenerate when I run over them accidentally. I dislike it because I accidentally put the stems in my pocket sometimes. D:

I hate accidentally picking them every 5 seconds and I hate that I can't do ANYTHING with the actual plant itself but keep it in my pockets. it's really nerve wracking.

other than that I like it. just those two nitpick things lol.

I like the new growing mechanics! I am having to get used to filling holes in with the shovel instead of Y when I’m standing in the middle of a patch though.

i love that they don't wilt (as far as I know) and that you can pick them and the plant will still produce more flowers!

yeah! i think if you do it enough times the petals will fall off, but they regrow the next day. they wont disappear any more tho
