Nobody can spell my last name right. And my first name is Austin. I am (unfortunately) female. It's not that big of a deal though, right? Except the issue is it's caused problems with employment... sadly, employers are biased according to gender, except in the food industry (which is why I wish it was legal to ask for your gender on job applications). I never get called for more "female-oriented" jobs and they are always profoundly disappointed when I show up to an interview for a "male-oriented" job. Wooo.

No, I don't like it.

My name's Monday and I'm not going to lie I adore it, although the jokes get really tiring really quick (i.e I say I'm Monday and someone else goes bUT iTs WeDnEsDaY)

Neutrality is the way for me

My name is Denni. And I vote that I'm only neutral towards my name. As a kid, I absolutely hated it. Any time I told someone my name I was hit with "Jenny? Danny? Penny Dennis?" No, Denni. Like the restaurant but with an I instead of a Y. Then I'd hear the, "every time I hear your name I get hungry" joke. Omg. If I had a dollar for every time I heard that one.... Apparently I was named after my mother's favorite uncle, Dennie. Same pronunciation. I never met him, but I feel bad for him with that spelling. As an after thought my last name is Pressley. "Are you related to Elvis??" No. His last name is Presley with one S. Again if I had a dollar for every time I heard that I'd be as rich as he was. But now that I've had plenty of years to grow into my name, it's just okay. I haven't met another Denni in my life, at least, not spelled the same way mine is. It's unique in some aspects, but then I still hear the same four jokes and mis-pronunciations of my name that just drive me up the wall some days.

I relate with the part of no one being able to spell your last name right. BONUS not one single person has said my last name right without me telling them how to say it. Even after I tell them they'll say it wrong, both on purpose and not.

My name is Krystal and I am also (unfortunately;; ) a girl. Other people like my name and think it’s pretty.. I like it too, but not as a name for myself;;. But luckily my family has never called me ‘Krystal’, but ‘Cookie’, my nickname. ^^ I wouldn’t change it for my preferred name though, because that’s the one my mother gave me. :)

My username, Zelda June, is just my first and middle name and I love them both. I don't think I've met anyone who can pronounce my last name correctly though, they say G like gem rather than like girl.

nope! ive hated my name for a really, really long time!
so im in the process of changing it. the name on all my socials is nadene..
when i meet new people i introduce myself as nadene..
and when i have the money i plan on legally changing it.

yeah I hope I can change it irl when things get a bit calmer, I'd def. prefer legally going by Sheila rather than my real name right now.. ugh.

It's ok but town fair tire spelled it wrong and now I like the misspelled version. They spelled it out to be Alena. Said out loud it sounds real pretty.

Sheila
This whole time I thought your name for sure was actually Sheila... What's even real anymore?
But really though, Sheila's a cool name.

No it's actually not my real life legal name. That one is uglier so I don't really reveal it if I can avoid it.

But yeah, I hate it's such a process to do it IRL because you gotta change emails and everything lol

I like my name, but the funny thing is even though I like my full name more, I hate it when people call me that unless it's during some kind of formal presentation. My nickname is okay but it sounds really weird to me for some reason lol

Andrew. Yeah, my irl name is alright. It's kinda generic, but it's one of the better generic names out there. I'd rather be called Andrew than like Jerry or Jack or Bob or something.

Tbh I feel very dissociated from my name, especially my middle name (even just now it took me a second to recall it—my middle name feels so foreign and odd to think about), probably since I'm not especially social and the main people I interact with on a day-to-day basis rarely need to refer to me directly by name.

I like unusual names so I often go by less common names online. I've been going by Cwynne online for awhile, but so many people seem to have trouble pronouncing it (it's like Quinn) that it's very unlikely I'd ever go by it irl. I've long wanted to go by something else, but I honestly don't know what name I would choose and I feel like it would be difficult for the people I know.

This is a bit off-topic, but although I currently identify as female I prefer they/them pronouns as well as more unisex names. I've only changed my pronouns online, because, again, I feel like the change would be difficult for those around me. The reason I brought that up is because I'd like to change both, preferably at the same time. I don't think my parents would really appreciate it, though.

Sorry for the rant, just thought maybe I'd get that off my chest I guess.

I tried to pronounce the C as an S oops. Swin makes no sense.

I also like uncommon names, that's one of the appeals of Jerico to me.

I like my name and don't mind it. Though lately I've been noticing a lot more people with it and I once thought it was unique, but not anymore. Oh well.

My name is Giana. My mum's name is Gina, so I guess they were lazy and just chose the easiest option! I don't hate it nor do I love my name. I wish it were a lot prettier, though.
