Do you play with or without sound?

I think the only game that I've ever played with the sound completely muted was Maplestory. However, I tend to drown out the sound of other games with either music, random youtube videos, or shows on something like netflix. The only time that I don't have something else playing over the audio from a game is when I'm playing on a handheld device.
