do you prefer the ocean or the mountainside?

I grew up very close and currently live 20min away from the ocean and I love it, but I love the nature filled mountains too. Going on hikes is really fun I love seeing all the different animals and little rivers full of frogs

I have lived there my whole life until around two years ago. The colors in fall and just the variation in general is so pretty. My motion/car sickness is really bad though, but I just live with it now. I have gone to the beach before, about a week at time. I get sick of the ocean smell and sand very quickly unfortunately.

mountains! i grew up near the ocean, and while there are tons of memories there that you can't get in the mountains, i feel so much more at home here, especially since it's so green here. it's kind of hell on my arthritis in the winter, but it's a sacrifice i'm willing to live with for a better mental state.

o m g that is such a hard desicion because I love both so much. While I love the ocean I more fascinated by the mountains.One of my dreams is to see the mountains from as closest as I can get. From where I live I can see the san gabriel mountains but that's nothing until I got a closer view from I went to the Arcadia area but I know I can get something better than that.

I live near Appalachia, I'm practically in the foothills everyday. But the ocean? I've only ever seen it once, and it was pretty much what you'd call "magical". Not to mention it's warmer, the air has the right amount of moisture to it, and I just love water, especially for swimming and searching for shells. Once this pandemic blows over, I'm hoping I can go see it again.

I’ve only seen the ocean once, and when I was young, all I wanted to do was move to be close to the ocean. I grew up in the plains, all flat, nothing but fields and sky. I moved to the mountains a few years ago, now I couldn’t imagine life without them.

I have the pleasure of living near both mountains (and lakes) and the sea. I lived on the doorstep of the mountains (well, fells) for the first 18 years of my life. Even now they're only half an hour's drive away. I have to say that if I had to choose between one or the other for me it would be the sea though - I don't really swim in it too often, but I love the sea air.

Funny you say that. It's mostly flat here in my state and when I vacationed to an area with just one giant mountain, I couldn't stop staring at it. It was very distracting for me and I kept trying to look at all the little details on it lol!

That being said, I prefer mountains to the ocean. I love forest areas and mountains are prettier to me - plus there's hiking.

Mountains for sure! Although it gets too cold for my comfort, there are a few things that beat that crips, fresh air and omg when it's a beautiful, blue sky with no clouds or the clouds are kinda everywhere, ya know? I haven't been camping in ages, miss it.

I'm definitely a mountain person! The beach is nice but I've never really liked it as much as other people. As a college student, I know lots of people who would take a trip to the beach but me? I'd take a good hike over that!
