Do you prefer the beach or the pool?

Beach or Pool?

I love both, because I love the water. However, I HATE THE BEACH BECAUSE OF THE SAND. So that's why I voted 'pool', but if the beach had no sand... yeah, I'd choose both!

I like both, though I much prefer the pool when I want to go swimming. Although I like building sandcastles at the beach and admiring the view of the ocean, I hate how dirty my feet get after walking in the sand. Also, swimming pools are much more convenient since they're closer to visit.

The beach has an atmosphere a pool normally can't match. It's also natural (most of the time).

Pools are beneficial in the sense of "I can swim without worrying about what may lurk in the water".

Neither tbh 😂 I don’t like swimming so I’d have no need to go to a pool, and living by a beach I’m desensitised to those, alongside hating sand

I prefer the pool. I have a bad fear of touching fish, so I never swim in oceans or lakes.

The beach, but not near the water. I would rather along the shore and stuff when I'm there. I don't like being near pools anymore. yuck.

I like swimming pools far better, I don't have to worry about a shark biting off a limb.

I prefer the pool. I get too itchy on the beach and salt water, and the pool doesn't have sand, even if there can be a lot of people around the pool. It helps that we have our own.

I was crazy about going swimming at the pool as a kid but now, I much prefer the beach. It's wider and deeper, it's more fun and relaxing. Going to the beach is one of my favorite activities. It's nice to go at least once during summer. We almost didn't get to this year, but just recently we went to the beach and it was a good time.

Going to a water park again wouldn't be the most unpleasant thing, though. It's been ages, but I remember really enjoying the slides and wave pools.

I don't really enjoy either, the beach is just really whatever to me and when it comes to the pool I think Grunkle Stan from Gravity Falls said it the best, "Yeah I can't wait to get into a crowded tub with strangers, it's like the bus but wet."

I like both and they both have a different vibe, but generally I'd say pool since the pool is a lot more calm, peaceful and quiet.

I like both a lot! However, where I grew up there were no beaches (other than lakes) but a lot of waterparks, which feel very special to me. So pools have a vibe that is unmatched. I even love the smell of chlorine by itself!

I like both - but private pool wins my vote.

Beaches are great for vacation and the overall vibe, sand castles, hanging out under a big umbrella in the sand, and beach snacks!

Public pools are just a complete no. I'm not really fond of crowds, and public pools in my area seem to be just a huge crowd of people, no room to actually swim or anything, just a big crowd of people bobbing around.

Private pool = heaven. No crowds, no sand getting in every nook and cranny, peaceful swimming at night with the pool lights on, cooling off on a hot day without having to drive anywhere.

I prefer the beach for the sound of the ocean and the sand, but not to swim at. I prefer to swim in a pool, where I know there won't be any weird critters brushing against my leg while I'm trying to have fun.

We have a pool, and it’s one of my favorite things to do in the summer (and sometimes into fall!) The beach is fun, but the water is often way too cold and I don’t like the crowds. No matter how old I get, though, I’ll always love playing in the sand!

The beach, by far! I love the ocean (though I'm landlocked so I've only been a couple of times) and would go there every week if I could. The crashing of the waves is so mesmerizing. I'm not a very strong swimmer, so public pools aren't really my favorite experience. And they're just so crowded. I used to work with kids and I enjoyed taking them to the pool since they made it fun, but I'd feel weird just splashing around on my own.

It depends on the water temperature and the number of people. This summer I spent a week at a holiday house by the sea, and our resort had its own pool which was covered when the weather was bad. It was amazing!

I strongly prefer a public beach over a public pool..

But if they were both private, I'd much rather swim in a private pool than a private beach I think 🤔
