Do you remember your first Campsite Villager? Did you like them?

I got Graham and was delighted! He was the first smug I ever had in NL and I still think he's such a cutie. He lived on my beach for quite awhile. But, when my BFF visited and saw him, she was like "Oh, you have Graham? I'm so sorry..." which kind of bummed me out, lol. Apparently he gets a lot of online hate? IDK, I've always loved him.

Graham is awesome!

My first camper was Quillson. I was pretty mortified when I saw him, not gonna lie. I started giving him all kinds of funny outfits and sunglasses daily so ironically we became fast friends. He grew on me eventually, but I ended up letting him go for Ken. I was a bit sad to see him go by the end!

My first one was Marshal, he'd never really been a villager I was interested in but I was happy enough to have him on my island to see what he was like. As he wasn't on my dreamy list I planned to let him go as soon as he asked but he very quickly grew on me and became one of my favourite villagers on my island, plus he developed a really nice friendship with Judy and I was reluctant to split them up so he ended up staying on my island for many months before I eventually let him go.

In my first island I got Hippeux. I'm not fond of him. He stayed in my island for months until he finally asked to move away. As for my second island I got Pietro. I don't mind him since I've had him before in Acnl but I want a different villager that I have in mind.

This bespectacled cat was my very first camper.I must have liked him because he's still frolicking around on my island.

 

[Rosch]

My first camper was Curlos. I was initially disappointed because I generally didn't like sheep villagers at the time. I also already had Frita, a starting villager, and I didn't want multiples of the same species.

But that changed over time. Curlos is great. Turned out to be one of the few sheep I like. I honestly thought his eyebrows were his eyes at first.

Oh I remember mine, it was Eugene. Idk why it was such an instant dislike. But I always try to give it time cuz sometimes I ended up liking them, like Chops in NL.

But nope. I ended up disliking Eugene more each day lol.

I put his house the farthest from mine, yet everytime I turn on the game, there he was lurking behind my house, which I found very creepy. Not once, but almost every time, what are the odds of that?!

He also kept talking abt being an influencer & his blog, producer etc. I was prepared to not have any smugs on my island at all because of him. Thank God I got Phil after & his dialogue was nothing like that.

Mine was Ken. I actually really like Ken even though he's not a dreamie and he's still on my island today.

my first camper was shep! he definitely wasn’t the worst smug that i could’ve gotten, but i didn’t care for him much and was ecstatic when he finally wanted to leave lol.

My first camper was Lionel. He is not my favorite, but also was not my least favorite (I don’t love many of the smug designs), so I was not really upset. He came across to me as very flirty, which I found off putting, and I don’t like villagers that look older. However, the lions in ACNH seem very cuddly, I changed him out of his noble clothes in to more down to earth clothes, and the smugs are generally pretty fun, personality wise, so I became fairly fond of him.

I ended up letting Lionel move out in order to move in another villager from the campsite. Despite the fact that he was not one of my favorite villagers, I was sad to say good bye to him.

It was kind of nice having a villager around who I never would have picked for myself (I lucked out with my only other random villagers and got Genji and Shari as my starters, both of whom I liked a lot).

I got Marshal. I wanted Shep, but it is what it is.

My current island it was Phil, he's ok.
Old island it was Graham, the same as Phil's.

Olaf was my first campsite villager and at first I did NOT approve. It took really long for him to move away but when he did I must admit I felt a little sad. His tail is so fancy and it did the little wiggle whenever I greeted him. At one point I gifted him a monocle to complete his look and he looked absolutely dashing with it. His house has a black shiny whirlpool which takes up 3/4 of his home - what an icon.

Then, one day, I saw him reading a book. Need I explain more? I was in tears, that's how much that scene made me laugh. As a fellow glasses person I confirm: this is how I read as well.

I think it was chops. It’s funny, because at first I didn’t like the look of him, but he did grow on me. Beautiful blue eyes! It goes to show that the way they look online in a still photo can be very different than how they look when they’re walking around “in real life“. (Kinda like real people!) When he first asked to go, however, I let him. His house just wasn’t right for the look of my island. Sorry Chops.

Mine was Lopez. I definitely liked him but ultimately replaced him later on with Kidd.

It was Kidd the smug goat and I loved him. He's not on my island anymore but I have his amiibo and hope to invite him back at some point.

Mine was Ken. I actually like him a lot but I had him for many years in New Leaf so when he asked to leave I replaced him with Kidd, who is my dream smug and is here forever.

O'Hare was my first haha. He was graciously let go when he asked to leave lol

Beardo was my first camper. I remember getting mildly annoyed when I found out that I couldn't just restart that day and get a fresh one, and I may have deliberately placed his house on a cliff as far back from the other houses as possible...

...But I actually grew fond of the guy. I did let him go eventually, but I still regard him as the type of villager I'd invite back in a future installment. He was also the first AC villager I made a little pixel art of that I haven't uploaded anywhere yet for no real reason.

Okay I am going to list the first campsite villager I had on my old island, 2nd island, and new island.

1. Old Island (Traverse): Eugene, I really didn't like him all that good. He seemed like that person who would like brag and always show off.

2. 2nd Island (Twilight): Keaton, he was okay for a Smug eagle and I did eventually got his photo and afterwards I let him go.

3. New Island (Destiny): Jacques, I don't really mind him so much he was just okay to me.

So yeah those were the 1st campsite villagers I had.
