Do you share cups with people?

If there comes a time where you had to share a cup of soda with someone, would you have a problem with it? I?m one the people who has a problem with it. I flip the straw upside down after the other person takes a sip. Am I alone here?

What do you all think about sharing cups with people?

I would absolutely not share a drink with someone. Even with two straws. That's like one of the grossest things in the world to me

It depends on how well I know the person lol. If we're just acquainted it's weird to me to share a drink, but if they're a good friend I won't mind as much.
I do share drinks with my family too.

OH -- and when I say "share a drink", I only mean, sharing a few sips LOL. Sharing an entire drink is completely different and only something I do with my boyfriend!

I've no issue with it.

Usually it's water I end up sharing though rather than a more exciting drink.

Haha it grosses me out so much I don't even try to be nice about it, if someone asks me irl I'm just like "uh no sorry"

Like no shame on other people who share drinks I just personally can't stomach it

I never share cups, especially if I don't know the person very well. There are so many diseases that can be spread this way that I really do not want to risk it.

I've always been the kind of person who would straight up refuse to drink from somebody else's cup/bottle, even if I were dehydrated and extremely thirsty, I just wouldn't drink.
My parents always let me have the first few sips of a newly opened bottle before it goes around. With some friends, as long as I know they're hygienic & I'm not touching the part where their mouth touched the glass, I'm fine with sharing. Straws are a no-go though.

yes i totally hate it when randomly my siblings take a sip of my drink... i will legit either give it to them or pour it out, its like sharing a fork like who does that (okay a little extreme example and all but yah)

If it's with my sister, the yeah I'll share a cup or drink. Straws, maybe. Usually we can get 2 straws and cram them both in the hole. Anyone else, h*** to the no.

I remember one time my ex randomly took a drink from my straw and I'm just like 'wth are you doing?' I poured out the drink and got a new straw.

No, not unless it's my little sisters. Since my mom has always been a huge germaphobe, my family almost never shares food or drinks. My sisters are six, though, and really don't understand that concept. They always hover around me whenever I have something to drink that isn't water, and they have puppy dog-eyes while they do it. I've spent enough time around them to know that whatever sickness they get I'll get too and vice versa, so I really don't mind sharing. I never give them more than a sip or two, but that's usually enough to satisfy them. That being said I'm not as worried about germs as my mom is so if one of my friends asked for a sip of my drink I'd probably say yes to them as well.

I'm the same way, the only person in the world that I would be ok sharing my drink with is my girlfriend. Likewise, absolutely not if it is anyone else! xD

I'm the same way. Though, to me being in a relationship with the person or no doesn't matter.
I'm kind of germaphobe ( I just learned this word in other thread ) and when I realize I'm not feeling it unpleasant to share anything oral (foods, drinks, folk/spoon/chopsticks/, or even toothbrush/candies) with the person, I realize I have feelings for the person, regardless if it's crush or the way bf/gf. And with literally anyone else no.
