Do you still play your first ever island?

For voting purposes, if you deleted your first island very soon after getting the game and then never again, I'll count that as your first island.

I have a second switch with a second island.
I restart my second island a lot because I just can't get attached to it like I can on my main island.

My main island is my home.
It will never ever get deleted.

yep, same island as when i got the game at launch. i've never reset it (and never would), and i don't have a second island because i'd never waste money on a second switch lite. not what the question asked, but i still have my first NL town from 2013-ish too! (i do have a second copy of that game, but i play them both exactly the same amount.)

I kinda still wish I still had my first new leaf town.
I loved the game but found I completely ran out of things to do after 3 or 4 months.
So I'd reset it and start over. And over. And over.
God knows how many towns now only exist as photos on my 3ds sd card XD

I eventually got myself a second copy of the game haha.

As for why I have 2 switches, it's because I owned one before new horizons came out, and I fell in love with the new horizons themed switch so just had to buy it XD
My other half thinks it was a waste of money but I still smile when I look at the engravings on the back so I say it was worth every penny haha

I reset the day after the game came out, so I still consider this my first island. I still play it. I don’t plan on resetting ever. I also don’t plan on getting a second switch for a second island.

yep i still play my original island as my only one since i have one switch. i regretted restarting my original new leaf town so i promised myself i wouldnt restart my island this time, and ive kept to it. i have had some thoughts of resetting in the past, but i think i would miss my island too much since im really fond of it

Yes, my first island is the only island I've had ever since the game was released, and I intend to keep it that way. I've never been interested in resetting it, as I've put too much work into it and I'd lose all motivation to play the game if I lost it. I also wouldn't pick up a second Switch in order to create a second island, that's just too much money/work, lol.

I sold my Switch Lite in January along with ACNH, just recently got a Switch again and decided to get NH again only this time I’m not time travelling. I’ve had a lot of fun this past month getting the museum and being patient. It’s been refreshing because in Jan I was pretty burnt out with it.

I still play my original island I'm not fully satisfied with it yet so I'm sure I'll still be working on it for a long time to come. I might reset one day though because it would also be fun to try out something completely different but I tend to play rather slowly so that won't be for a while. I would also like it if they implemented something like we had in New Leaf where you could restart with your catalog, that would make me more tempted to start over but still only once my first island is fully finished.

Technically I restart my game like an hour into my first island because I thought you couldn't tt in NH and I thought I messed up my clock. lol

Yes, I still play my original, and only, island that I started when the game was released. It's come a long way and changed quite a lot over time but there are still a couple of areas that I need to work on once I get some more inspiration and time to focus on the game. I've completed a lot of the nook miles achievements and filled a lot of my catalogue (thanks to many helpful and kind people on here!) which I'd hate to lose, plus I'm very attached to my island so couldn't bring myself to reset it.

I have two switches and two islands. I will never reset my first island and still play it daily. I have been playing my second island more so I can work on the museum. I started my second island thinking I would use it as a reset island in case I ever did want to reset. I got attached to it and can’t see myself resetting it.

I really regret restarting my first NL town. I had a zen theme for it and it looked really nice. I had to take a break from it and when I came back it was overrun with bamboo and bamboo shoots everywhere, I thought resetting would be better then trying to fix it and some of my favorite villagers had left.

I only have one switch, so it's always gonna be my main island anyway. I wouldn't buy another console just for one game, so it'll stay that way for some time.

nah it's been restarted probably over 10+ times at this point. i likely won't restart my current one as i actually like how it looks so far (+ all the recipes, dreamies, items, etc. i have). i wish i had the blue airport but zero chance i'm losing all my progress just for that lol.

i have thought about restarting a lot but at this point ive collected so many items i dont want to lose them. However, ive also just lsot motivation decorating this island which is why i considered restarting so i could completely change my island. For now, there are just a bunch of empty spaces while i play other games
