Do you style yourself according to the season?

I’m sure this has been posted before, but I was curious. Because last week when I was changing my avatar’s clothes, I was trying so hard to put together a summer outfit I hadn’t worn yet. Like, trying harder than necessary. It made me pause and think to myself “why does this even matter to me so much?” Do you do this too? I have to know lol.

Thankfully, I can start over with fall now. I’ve got a lot more options under my belt now.

I used to.
But now I only wear the one outfit all the time.
The only time it ever "changes" is when the nook mile task comes up. Then I put on a backpack and then remove it straight away.

But I do think its fun to match your clothes to the season. Helps with the immersion

I have my character wearing the same thing all the time, which is pretty similar to my style in real life. I have multiple of the same outfit, haha. My island is always in the summer, anyhow. I don’t like how the winter looks on an island.

more so weather than season. if it's raining, i'll wear my rain outfit and even try not to wear the same color back-to-back. i have several outfits each for when it's windy, breezy and sunny. there's really only one outfit (the shearling coat and boots, i think) that i exclusively wear when it's winter, and i only wear the short front tie tee during summer.

for the most part, yeah! the autumn clothes are probably my favourite in the game but in summer i try my hardest to stick to more traditionally summer clothing because it just feels 'wrong' to be dressed up in a jumper and jeans. although equally i reset a while back and my wardrobe is still seriously lacking some of my favourite items so i need to get back into finding those..

I change my avatar’s clothes based on season. Sometimes I change it everyday and sometimes once a week.

I have four player characters that are based on the seasons so every season I change that PC's clothing to a different outfit according to the season. My autumn PC has on a magic academy robe right now but I may change it to a vampire costume. I'm looking forward to new Halloween clothing so I'm crossing my fingers that the next update gives us more costume options. I also try to use outfits that I like so there may be some seasonal clothes that I never use.

Nope. I have just one outfit that I wear year-round, since it's the outfit I like the most and that represents me best plus changing it seasonally would be effort.

Absolutely. I have a handful of favorite outfits with accessories for every season. If it's cold, I'm not going to be wearing a tank top. If it's hot, I'm not going to be wearing a sweater. I always need to have socks with my shoes because I know how uncomfortable that is IRL. I also change my hair color according to the season - spring and summer are blonde, late summer-autumn is ginger, and late autumn-early winter is deep brown or black. It also varies with outfits. If a certain hair color goes better with the outfit, I'll do that color. I also change my eye colors depending on the hair color. Blonde, ginger & brown eyes; brown hair & green eyes, black hair & blue eyes, etc. the color of the outfits also depends on the eye color. If it's raining, I'll either go with an umbrella to match the outfit, or I would change the whole outfit to reflect rainy days (i.e. raincoat, rain hat, rain boots). It's effort, but it's what makes it more fun for me.

Oh my gooooosh, minus the changing hair/eye colors, this is me too!! I also put on sock with my shoes, even if you can’t see them. It would just feel so wrong otherwise. I always use the liner socks, unless I actually want them to be seen. I put on my rain outfit for heavy rain, but use my umbrella for lighter rain!

I have forever looks for all my characters.
Each of my characters have a color scheme. Their whole look, house exterior, and house interior all matches. I rarely ever change their outfits. I plan their outfits to also match my island. So once I settle on a look that I like, it stays forever.

No I don't really care about the seasons. I just wear my custom clothes. On Destiny I usually wear the custom black coat with a blue heart that I made and on Brooklyn I am dressed up as Super Mario.

I never really styled my villager in NL or the other games based on the season and NH isn't an exception. I remember whenever my villager would exit the house (after loading the save for NL) they would fan themselves and sweat because I had too much layered on them for summer time.

Yes, I style my character according to season...and weather. Fall is almost here, so I'm about to change the outfit to warm clothes soon. If rain comes, I mostly carry an umbrella (I like spinning it a lot ).

Absolutely! I feel guilty if I don’t dress my island rep in seasonally appropriate clothing, like no, she’s going to get too hot/cold, I can’t do that, haha. I also change my clothes pretty regularly—don’t want her getting all sweaty or dirty and being stuck like that!

It depends more on my mood than weather or seasonal logic. I do like it when I see screenshots of people in their raincoats during a thunderstorm but it sort of doesn't fit me to change into rain gear? In real life, I would but in-game I don't feel attached to clothing if that makes sense?

I think I like dressing up for holidays/occasions/events than season-weather related things.

Most of the time. Although sometimes I wore a tanktop and shorts during winter and my villagers think I'm crazy.

I try to! I don't really play much anymore but I try to wear long stuff in the fall/winter and short stuff in the spring/summer.

Most of the time my character is wearing nice dresses I only really change her look with the big holidays like Halloween and Christmas.
I am very keen to have the pale skin and purple eyes again !!!!!

I do! The first of every month I delete all my current wand outfits and then create new wand outfits for that month. This way I cycle through the outfits daily and then at the end of the month I delete them and do it again for the new month! I usually make one of the wand outfits a rain outfit and sometimes I’ll make one a “fun” outfit like a costume or something ridiculous.
