I’ve never ever thought about that :0 I can’t say with absolutely certainty but I think it’s mostly “I” statements, and sometimes “you” statements.

I usually refer to myself either in the first person or using "we" statements like: "Let's do this." or "We need more sugar." Though when using the we statements they usually are in the thought process and not spoken out loud.

You don’t call yourself almighty serpent? 😞

That's a pretty interesting question lol. I think I say "I" mostly. I've never really payed much attention but everything else feels like it would be a bit more jarring. But I wouldn't be surprised if I used "you" from time to time... Especially when I'm trying to brute force myself to do something I don't want to do. xD

Hahaha!!! I luv the idea of this thread!! I hadn’t even thought about it that way!

JUST last night I think I used 3 of those cuz I was just having a “night”.

First when I put a tea on my tray, the whole thing flipped forwards and under knocking it onto another level spilling everywhere and in my head, I said Dana, wtf, get your $#!+ together! And then later, because my fingers are numb I hit a button underneath the button that I was trying to hit and didn’t realize it until too late & in my head I said you are such an idiot! And then, of course, throughout the night in my head, I was like I need to do this this and this. 😂😂😂

Typically I use 'I' statements, but I've noticed when I'm more negative, scolding myself, really trying to emphasize, or remember something for later, I will refer to myself as 'you'.
This is actually funny because I'm kinda similar! I also use 'you' to like, "scold" myself or try and tell myself off for something dumb I did, and then when I'm like doing chores or running errands it's always 'we'

I started ironically using 'chat' as like an outsider pronoun when I'm working on something or running errands as well. Like if someone cuts me off while driving I'll usually be like "Can you believe this, chat??" although the more often I use it the less and less I think I'm being ironic about it 😭:ROFLMAO:

I think I generally tend to use either “you” or “we” if I’m actually making statements at myself. Don’t think I end up using “I” much in that specific context

I refer to myself in my head as "I", but out loud I often use "we", especially if I'm playing a game while people are watching, I'll say stuff like "now we need to go here"

I only use "I" when I'm talking to other people. When I'm talking to myself in my head, I usually say "you", but I also use "we". "You" is usually used when I'm berating myself, but we is when I'm trying to hype myself up. But I guess I do use "I" the odd time when I reply to myself, but often times I use "we" to reply. This paragraph makes no sense, I need to work on organising my written thoughts : P

I usually think of myself in first person, but if I'm talking to myself in my head, I'll refer to myself by my first name.

i tend to always use "you" when talking to myself in my head because it's almost always some sort of scolding, aka "you're fine" or "you need to relax". i have pretty crippling anxiety so a lot of my self-talk involves being annoyed at myself for being so anxious 🫠
