Haha oh wow, glad to see at least some of you making me feel less insane for dressing my rep daily for the season/weather...the socks with shoes part that @Alyx said is literally what I do haha, even if it's the ultra no show socks.
I sadly go one step further than I've seen anyone mention yet though. I put my rep into some sort of pj's/nightwear before finishing for the night. I think I watched too much Black Mirror and convinced myself my rep might continue on with her life whilst I'm gone, so I better make her comfortable hahaha
I definitely style my clothes for the season and usually for the weather as well (if I'm playing for a longer session, if I'm just logging in for a quick trade or something then nah). Spending an hour+ terraforming in the rain without a coat on just feels wrong lol
Yes, I do like to style my rep's clothes according to the season. I have a few outfits that I cycle through for each season. They are usually a mixture of in-game clothes and custom designs.
Yes, and I do the same for the weather as well. To me it just looks weird seeing my island rep running around in summer clothing when it's pouring with rain.
I don’t change daily, but I do a wardrobe change at least once week, and I do keep it seasonal. In October, I try to put together a new costume daily— definitely a good way to use that old astronaut or pirate outfit that just sits in storage for the rest of the year.
Yes! Once I start getting my wardrobe back together, as I just reset, I change my clothes not just with the seasons, but daily. There’s just so many cool and cute unique clothing in this game, that it’s pretty hard to stick to just one thing. xD
Yes! I'll even change it based on the weather. So if it's raining, I'll either wear a raincoat and boots and a hat, or I'll at least get an umbrella. Otherwise I'll wear summer clothes during summer - shorts and tank top or t-****, and flip flops or other sandals. Sneakers now and then. Even though it's "fall" right now, we still have summer weather here for the time being, so I'm still wearing summer clothes. But I'm sure in a couple of weeks I'll start with the long sleeved shirts and pants again. I have a few different coats for the winter time. I love immersing myself completely into the game.
I do chose clothes to wear based on the season. It gives me a more immersive experience this way. I wear my rain coat and rain boots when it's raining, a coat in winter, cooler dresses in summer, etc.
I do because not only does it make sense to me to be styled differently based on the season, but I'd hate to be wearing a hoodie and heavy pants in the dead of summer lol I also try to dress my character close to how I would irl, mainly with the colors
I often try to match the seasons, though I usually pay more attention to my outfits during the warmer summer months and in winter, especially over the festive period. Throughout spring and autumn/fall I generally just change up my clothes if there is a big change in weather, such as heavy rain, or if it’s part of a daily nook miles request.
I really like the winter clothes, especially the coat and knitted hats, so always wear these during that season and usually during the autumn/fall too, generally just sticking to similar outfits throughout those months but changing the colour scheme.
When the weather on my island improves, towards late spring and into summer, I usually change into dresses or summery tops and shorts to match the warmer seasons.
I usually end up just having one outfit per month (ish). It typically fits the weather/vibe. Right now since its starting to get cooler but its still not super cold I have a dress with a cardigan! During winter I like to wear sweaters with pants Spring, dresses again, and summer sun dresses, Hawaiian shirts, etc
I'm really attached to my current outfit, so I don't change it (outside of occasionally helping Label or going for Nook Miles). I also have two other characters, and I don't tend to change theirs either, even if one outfit was only meant to be temporary.
Not really! I mostly stick to a handful of outfits on my wand. If I do dress up my character differently, it's usually because I intend to be taking screenshots.
