i talk to myself whenever i get the chance. when im worried about something or the way i look are a few topics i talk to my self often about.

I always thought I was weird for doing it, but yes. I don't have like conversations with myself but I'll speak my thoughts out loud when I'm alone.

Sometimes, but it's usually just in my head. I've caught myself talking to myself a few times, but thankfully it's never in front of anyone.

I mostly only talk to myself in my head, except if I'm playing a game or watching a movie or something by myself I tend to react to what's going on out loud. I sing to myself often, though.

I always talk to myself, people call me crazy because I do it too often, even in public.

rarely. I'll only do it if i'm trying to count/ remember things. I can't have convos with myself at all.

I will talk to myself out loud when I'm doing stuff and am very alone. Mainly it will be like commentary for what stuff I need to do & then calling myself stupid for doing something wrong & then laughing because I'm insulting myself & then cringing & insulting myself again & so the cycle continues... ha... whatismylife

Same with me :p

Sometimes I do. It's usually when I'm home alone and I tend to do it subconsciously. I wouldn't ever do it in public, it just... Looks strange. Lmao.

All the time! At work it supports language development, cognitive functioning, and social and emotional development with the babies and children in my care as I verbalise what I'm doing, what I'll do next, reminders for myself etc etc. Not that I'm talking non-stop, that would not be helpful, but it helps soothe unsettled children like nothing else does to hear a "patter of chatter" as I like to call it. Describing what children are doing (instead of yourself) is known as "sports-casting" though there's a lot more to it than merely imitating sports commentators!

At home or out in my personal time I do, too. When choosing fresh fruit and veggjes I'll mutter to myself about the quality and condition of the different pieces, and what else I'm there to buy. I don't do it every single time I shop, but when I do (to help me concentrate) it's all good.

One thing I do NOT talk to myself during is playing games, whether playing alone or with my partner or friends. I just don't like a running commentary there. My partner does, and I find it quite irritating at times to tune the patter out but still catch anything important he says.. ah well.

:)

I am surpriseed that at percentage of people who say that don't talk to them selfs. Was sure the admits would be lower as dont wanna admit it in public but for most part the Forum seems to be telling it as it is.
