Good grief.
Yes, but not often.
Same with meI will talk to myself out loud when I'm doing stuff and am very alone. Mainly it will be like commentary for what stuff I need to do & then calling myself stupid for doing something wrong & then laughing because I'm insulting myself & then cringing & insulting myself again & so the cycle continues... ha... whatismylife
All the time! At work it supports language development, cognitive functioning, and social and emotional development with the babies and children in my care as I verbalise what I'm doing, what I'll do next, reminders for myself etc etc. Not that I'm talking non-stop, that would not be helpful, but it helps soothe unsettled children like nothing else does to hear a "patter of chatter" as I like to call it. Describing what children are doing (instead of yourself) is known as "sports-casting" though there's a lot more to it than merely imitating sports commentators!
At home or out in my personal time I do, too. When choosing fresh fruit and veggjes I'll mutter to myself about the quality and condition of the different pieces, and what else I'm there to buy. I don't do it every single time I shop, but when I do (to help me concentrate) it's all good.
One thing I do NOT talk to myself during is playing games, whether playing alone or with my partner or friends. I just don't like a running commentary there. My partner does, and I find it quite irritating at times to tune the patter out but still catch anything important he says.. ah well.
