Do you think custom designs will return?

Obviously I think the chances are very big that we'll be seeing custom designs again. I just hope that they'll do it like the posting thing in Splatoon 2. You can use button controls to draw (which is extremely awkward, never do that unless you want to suffer) or take the Switch out of the dock and use your... finger. Yeah I hope they bring back the design drawing feature but they also need to adapt to the fact that most people won't have a stylus for the Switch. Precise inputs are much harder to do with big fat fingers!

Also they better make some kind of online hub for sharing your designs now that QR-codes are impossible to share as the Switch doesn't have a camera. Maybe they can still make it a thing through the Switch Online app? Maybe you can scan them through your phone and the game will receive it that way? Don't know if that's even possible but who knows.

i bet you that there will be some kind of stylus to bundle with the game or something because it just occured to me how much touch screen animal crossing uses and it would be strange if they expect us to just use our fingers

its gonna be so tricky for them to make the single screen work for an animal crossing game.

I didn't really consider how difficult it would be to make patterns but they'll definitely be included. I have no idea how anyone ever managed to make patterns in City Folk haha.

it’ll probably be like how the original game was. you can use the controllers to move things around.

I'm sure we'll see even more diversity like being able to create pants, shoes, etc. It would be a shame not to continue expanding on custom creation. Pretty much all of the tops my mayor wears are my own design or made by others.

People like the custom designs too much. They'd be crazy to not include them.

The question is, how will they do them this time. QRs was brilliant, but obviously they can't do them that same way anymore. If they did, it would require an outside device like a phone.

i wonder if theyll introduce an online service where you can draw patterns on a computer and transfer it (without it getting pixelated). i think that would be pretty cool since the pixel feature would be strange on such HD graphics. i would totally design more clothes that way if i was able to use the art program im comfortable with to draw. how amazing would that be! it would encourage more people to draw too

keep the pixel system but also add this feature so people who use other art programs could design clothes on there. we would totally see some high quality custom patterns if this happens. people would totally find a way to corrupt this tho lmao
