Do you think your hype has died down now that the game has been revealed?

Don't get me wrong, I'm still looking forward to it immensely. But, now that the game has been revealed, the hype has been watered down a little bit for me. I also think that part of the reason is that it's set on an "island." I really don't want it to be crowded with tropical elements. But, I know that you'll eventually be able to turn your island into a full functioning village/town.

No but sorta.

Only because there is nothing new to talk about regarding the game and there won't be for months. Speculation is only so much fun because usually what we talk doesnt even end up happening.

of course my hype has died down, but it'll return towards the release. I'm just getting bummed with all these people saying what they hate about the game :-((

For the average Nintendo fan, I’m sure they’re much more hyped now knowing the game is coming out than like 3 months ago when we diehards we’re speculating.

Personally, no. I’m more excited than ever lol, but I’ll handle the wait.

Sure, but that’s neither bad nor really unexpected.
I’m still looking forward to it, and just as eager as before to get more information. If anything things will be a bit calmer until the next big reveal. In the longterm it’s probably better for our health and sanity—that level of hype just isn’t sustainable over time xD

I never had hype to begin with. I just know that I’m going to get the game when it comes out, and I can certainly wait for it patiently.

I am still very excited. The delay until 2020 made me get a GameCube so I could play the original game again for the next nine months. I am beyond pumped for this game. The only way I could more hyped is if they announce an Animal Crossing themed Switch. I wish they would let us know if this is happening because I would like to get a pre-order in. I have not pre-ordered the game yet because I am anticipating a special hardware release. A confirmation or denial of the special edition Switch would be nice.

No I think I'm more excited now. Before I was excited but also worried about what direction the game would go in; now I just feel pure hype since I've seen the game and it looks awesome!

I wouldn't say my hype has died down, but rather that the initial excitement has worn off. I really like what I have seen so far and I am confident that I will love the games. Its just going to be a while before we get more news, so I'm just taking it easy at the moment.

Nah. Seems people or mostly upset about the game delay. I’m bet people will be obsessed when they finally get their game. :p

Yes.

March 20, 2020 is far off to a point in which people are not going to anticipate for every single day until that scheduled date has arrived. There are other interests as well.

This would have been more effective had the release been scheduled for November or December.

My hype died down at first when I saw the delay but I've looked past that and I'm more excited than ever. In the end I know it'll be a game definitely worth the wait and excitement.

I would say my hype only died down a little bit, which is normal however. Pretty sure my hype gets higher
again once they mention the game again in a Direct or something and show some new stuff about it.

My Switch profile will be something like

Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Played for 10,000 hours or more.

On the contrary. Now we have something to discuss and dissect. I don’t like reading about whatever stupid idea people come up with when making wishlists. I have to discuss something concrete which is the case now.

Good point.

Right there with you. Lol

I'm still as hyped but not as "excited". Like when we saw the announcement I would watch the trailer and treehouse daily at least two times and now I'm just watching the trailer occasionnaly, but every time I do I'm getting hyped even more thinking about what my friends and I could do with this game! So no, the hype is still as strong for me! :lemon:
If some people find the game ugly or whatever it's their problem! I like it and I'll be very happy once it comes out, and too bad for them if they don't.

Basically this. After the game was announced, I spent a lot of time here talking about all the new features that had been announced, especially with all the tiny details people were pointing out in both the trailer and the Treehouse demo, but I'm not really interested in speculating what else they might add, or what other people think would be cool to see, and I'm not going to stick around to explain things we know for sure to people who haven't already looked into all the official information we've gotten, including the videos and interviews.

I'm actually surprised by the amount of people that dislike the "tropical setting". I don't think they understand that the island can be whatever you want. You can even remove the palm trees... Its just a giant plot of land that happens to be on an island. Also the delay put some people into a bad mood, at least it did for me. I understand why it was delayed, it just sucks that I went through most of 2019 thinking it was releasing this year. But the game will be polished and it makes me happy Nintendo is caring for it's developers so its not a big deal.

i agree with the island part. it's basically just a town and doesn't have to feel like an island whatsoever!
