I've been playing since launch and have only recently started TTing and never more than a few hours ahead. I used to just turn the game on at the appropriate times to collect DIYs and wish on shooting stars, but I got tired of spending so much of my day worrying about whether I was going to miss something, so I started playing in the morning and then TTing a few hours ahead to collect my next DIY or to night time to wish on shooting stars. Once I've TTed, I don't play again until the next day. This way I get all my playing done in an hour or two and the rest of my day is free to do other things lol
I’ve never time traveled because it would ruin the game for me if I did. I like that it’s played in real time. The only problem with this is that I’ll never be able to get the New Years countdown achievement because I don’t stay up that late, and I won’t time travel to it either.
I only time travel for missed events. I don’t go to autumn randomly just to collect mush DIY’s because I feel that defeats the purpose of the game. I don’t mind taking years to complete my island, I want the game to entertain me for a long time.
I mostly time travel day-to-day for stuff like moving buildings, buying more than five things from nook shopping, or ordering nook miles items. Other than that I'll sometimes time travel to make shrubs and flowers grow faster or to try to catch flick or celeste on my island. But I generally time travel within a week of the current date and don't really travel to different seasons since I don't really feel any need to since any seasonal DIYs or materials I may need I can just buy here
i TT on occasion - i’ve done it to catch a shark back when the game first released, to unlock the nook’s cranny upgrade, to get a bunny day diy that i missed out on last year and now, i do it whenever i get a villager’s photo so that i can move them out and move in a new villager to start earning their photo. i’ll also do it day-by-day to catch up if i go on a hiatus for whatever reason.
I've never time traveled since I got the game. I've never felt the need to time travel, as I've just wanted to play the game in real time, which makes playing the game daily more doable, lol. While the only real downside is that it means it takes longer to get or do somethings, I'm okay with that, since it's just another excuse to keep playing NH daily. Though I definitely get why some people time travel, so I don't mind those that do it.
i tend to only time travel when im short on time to play. lately, ive been time traveling to get the sanrio items quickly because I can't be asked to stick to the item limit. other than that i've stayed pretty true to not TT'ing in new horizons.
I've only TT while building my island as waiting for all the houses to be moved, bridges & inclines paid off or some stuff I needed be delivered by mail could be a pain in the butt :/ But now that I'm done building I don't use it and play in normal time, focussing mainly on completing my last pieces for the museum at the moment
I've never time travelled. I don't rule it out, I just haven't felt the need to do it yet. Or maybe I'm just lazy? Perhaps it's just me, but I get so irritated with the load times just reloading the game to switch characters, I couldn't imagine doing that over and over to skip days one by one. You guys have way more stamina than me!
I feel time traveling interferes with the organic flow of events the way they should happen, so I don't. It makes life difficult, but it's offset by others who time travel working with me at times so it evens out.
I TT because I’m a full time student and have a full time job. So, I simply would not have enough time to enjoy the game if I didn’t. I would probably miss out on a lot of events too; I already don’t have a lot of free time so on holidays I try to spend time with family if I can. I think everyone should enjoy AC at a pace that makes the game fun to them! TTing is the most fun way I’m able to play.
But @Cloudandshade is totally right those loading screens are killer lmaoo
Sometimes. I time travel to get the most out of the holidays since I have many PCs. I also TT to get multiple Redd, Gulliver, or Celeste items that I lack to avoid spending TBT or waiting until they show up again
I TT'ed back to Bunny Day again because I have 5 PCs and I need them to know ALL the Bunny Day recipes. It will be a mental challenge, especially getting enough Sky and Water eggs since those are the hardest for me to get. Its incredibly time consuming but at least I don't have to fret with future Bunny Days.
