Do you work?

I work full time as a business systems analyst for a major insurance company. Basically, it's my job to write complicated technical documents that tell the system developers what is needed for any changes to the system or what is wrong if something breaks. I don't do any system coding myself, but I can make minor fixes within the system if they don't require code changes.

I just got this position about a year ago. I've been working my way though different jobs at the company for almost 20 years now.

It's a decent job and pays well, but I always pictured myself doing something creative, like writing books. I kind of hate that I got myself trapped in a typical 8-5 office job.

I moved recently and am unemployed, applied for a pizza job this afternoon (wish me luck).
Before I was working as a Starbucks employee, but I've also had a lot of temporary warehouse jobs.
I'm looking to actually buckle down and stay with this job I applied for a couple years while I go to school.

Nah, but I go to a magnet school so that's my excuse lol. Seriously though, I'd like to get a job after I graduate.

Used to teach English and Literature and Creative Writing for a short while, but my muscle-wasting disease pretty much shut me from working or doing much of anything productive when I was 23, so, no I not only don't work, muscular paralysis means I cannot.

Working part time in the service deli department while I'm studying.
I love it and dislike it in ways. I love the people I work with, we have heaps of good laughs and jokes together. The work itself isn't too bad either. But I sometimes dislike it because it's very busy, tiring and frustrating sometimes. Overall I like it though!

I worked in restaurants for so long, i feel all you others in food service... you truly learn some things

However I recently finished my degree and work in a hospital. I see patients and talk to them about their risks of developing cancer based on family history as well as facilitate genetic testing for people actively going through cancer treatment. I have to make sure they meet testing criteria so insurance covers the cost and counsel them through the process so they know whats going on and receive appropriate follow up based on results and everything else.

I love it because I get to help people and talk about science

I'm 26, it'd be pretty sad if I didn't have a job lol

I'm a full time student and I graduate in May where I will FINALLY receive my doctorate to become a pharmacist after 6 years of schooling for it. X_X
But I work at a pharmacy part time as an intern and basically I input prescriptions, dispense medication, talk to physicians on the phone, counsel people on their medication (how to take it and side effects, etc.) and deal with insurance rejection claims.
The only thing I don't have the power to do is verify and approve prescriptions prior to it being dispensed, that's the pharmacist job to make sure there are no interactions prior. But that'll be meeeeeeeee next year and im scared as SHEET bc I could kill someone lol

I am not working, and I am not in school or so either.
My boyfriend is working though (works to repair everything around trains)
But I'm not lazy. Besides holding the house clean, cooking, etc.
I take care of my 7 animals (2 cats, 3 guinea pigs, 1 rabbit)..
and soon I will go once or twice a week to my local shelter to help out there for free :)

If you currently have a job, either part time or full time, what do you do for work? I work for the Canadian federal government doing office tasks like data entry, dealing with invoices, etc. I really love my job and being around my coworkers. Only thing I dislike is what's called the Phoenix pay system. It doesn't work very well, especially for new employees.

Yes and no. While I don't have a traditional job at the moment, I do a form "volunteer" work. And I use that term loosely because what I do is act on a cringeworthy, screwball comedy YouTube channel. We film once a week and I don't get paid (but then again we only have 1,000 subscribers so we wouldn't even make much money if the videos WERE monetized). It's a lot of fun though and the paid jobs I'm currently looking into might allow me to continue working for the channel in my spare time.

i used to have a part-time job at a grocery store near my house, but i'm currently unemployed. ;-;

mhm full-time and it's no exaggeration to say it's gradually crumbling my body but it's a likable job and the money is good $$$

I'm a full time student, but after new years I will start working in a student bar.

I'm a student in high school, who is on the younger side of the grade, but I do plan on doing driver's training in the spring, and there's gonna be job openings at an ice cream place walking distance from my home in the spring too, so I think I will start working then. I do already work sometimes, as I sometimes babysit/petsit for people in my area.
