I can see the point of bringing Revali into this game as an eagle villager or what lol
Do ypu guys think The Legend of Zelda Items and Villagers will come back too at some point?

I feel like there's a good chance we'll see them return. As others have pointed out, the Sanrio villagers returning opens the door for other special villagers to return, and with the Mario items being added into NH to celebrate Mario's 35th anniversary, I could see them doing the same for the Legend of Zelda's 35th anniversary with items + villagers once they actually begin celebrating it properly (I imagine some time after Skyward Sword HD comes out in July). So maybe we'll end up seeing them be added to NH in late 2021.

I don't see why they wouldn't come back! I mean we finally got the Sanrio villagers after a year of waiting, who knows who else will be coming back in the future. Saying that TLoZ is already a Nintendo property to begin with, it's not like they have to work too much with licensing (I think).
Everything is being drip-fed to us cause they know we'll eat it up when it does eventually come around.

After seeing the sanrio villagers return, i'm pretty sure at this point it's just a matter of time when the zelda villagers will return. Honestly I'm hyped for Wolf Link! Just don't know if I will ever be able to have him since the Sanrio villagers are not adoptable

I hope they not only bring zelda villagers back, but maybe add new crossover villagers as well. As people have mentioned before, some kind of Pokemon crossover could work really well. And similar to how the sanrio villagers don't match their inspiration (like the "Hello Kitty rep being a gorilla instead of a cat) they could do something similar with some familiar pokemon. Heck, even some of the Splatoon reps don't match (Cece and Viche are squirrels of all things lol). So like, they could definitely make a Pikachu-themed villager be anything from a rabbit or squirrel, which would be accurate, to anything like a dog or a monkey, idk, just throwing things out there.

I would love Pokemon for sure but there's so many options to make Villagers since theres a lot of animals =) They'd probably do Pikachu for sure since he's basically the mascot Cx
I really hope they do since they never did in New Leaf haha. Theres too many options for who I'd want but we'll see~
