apollo is in boxes today. and he was my ALL TIME favorite villager. i was thinking about doing the 16 villager cycling thing, but how long does that usually take? do people actually do it? is there any advice you can give to speed up the process? thanks!

Yeah, I'm doing it. It takes a while for me to get through because I can only do this on weekends. Many people on this forum do it.
Um I'm not sure about speed. Don't intend to get this done as fast as possible, or you'll end up losing a dreamie to try to get a dreamie back, like I just did. Be careful.

I'm sorta doing it at my own pace. I'll occasionally TT to get someone out, but It's not a vigorous process for me. I figure since I plan on getting a second copy, it would be easier to simply get a dreamie back through a second town.

Most people will go through several villagers in one day through TTing. If you did enough, I'm sure you could get through almost all the villagers needed to get him back.

i'm wondering if anybody has actually completed the 16 villager cycle right now and has gotten their villager back? but yeah. as soon as someone is willing to trade rosie for apollo and he moves out. i plan on taking my time. i was really trying to rush to get goldie out to trade with someone and that's definitely how i lost previous villagers before x.x sigh. i'm so disappointed in myself.

I have done it to 4 of my villagers, I didn't like the spot they were in and move all 4 out, kept a flow chart of who move out and who move in, and got them all back after the 16th cycle, I had about 6-8 villagers cycling out each day I did it (it took me 3 days in total) and I kept my 4 villagers in my second new leaf copy and got them back after the cycle

is there any advice you can give about how to move out specific villagers and keeping the ones you want?

This is why I won't reserve a villager or offer them until I have them set to move out :\ It gets too frustrating when you're trying to get one specific villager out on a time constraint. That is also what caused me to be careless and lose one of my favorite villagers.

http://bamdom.tumblr.com/post/57682343411/alternatively-titled-how-to-get-your-dream USE THIS. It's the best. It takes a while to get someone to move on occasion, but don't get careless or you'll have sixteen MORE villagers to cycle! :(
Don't do the two-day trick.
Emphasize talking to one villager as a safety to make sure someone is thinking of moving. Peck, Olivia, and Stitches are my three safeties, and it could take 10 to 15 times of talking to them to see if they know anything. You can also just walk past and talk to every villager, but sometimes they're fishing, in stores, at home, etc.

yeah i know about that :/ i usually use that method but today i was being incredibly stupid and didn't use that thread. sigh. anyways, just wondering, how many villagers do you cycle out daily?
