• Guest, you're invited to help build our new TBT time capsule! It contains three parts, with some of its elements planned to open in 2029 and others not until the distant future of 2034. Get started in 2024 Community Time Capsule: Blueprints.

Does this annoy you too?

Because you're friends. Why is that so absurd?

Personally, every once in a while I open my gate and WAIT for random people to come by. It's nice to keep in contact if you haven't had the chance to put them on your Best Friends List for example.

I didn't mean to be rude, but it's actually your fault if you're just too lazy to kick them off your list.

Also, if you dont want them to stay, simply tell them to leave.

you apparently can not read.
NO most people I add are NOT my friends...they are people I have done trades with or given stuff to.
I am NOT lazy, I just have a life and do not dedicate my entire life to a game, its a hassle, I have children and a house to take care of, and if I forget to delete someone, its not out of laziness.
and I also stated back there which you obviously ignored...4 different times i asked people to leave, and they refused, leaving me to have to switch it off...someone told me TO PAY them to leave once!!

good for you for letting people in your town, obviously u never had ur things stolen or destroyed. congrats.

sorry if I came off as harsh. Was only trying to help with the best friends suggestion, but yeah now that you mentioned it I can see why it can be a bit of a hassle to do so. Maybe a good way to stop vistors running wild is to block off the train station by digging holes around it before trading, then at least it could stop uninvited guests running wild.

Or just tell Porter to close the gates.

Yes it annoys me a LOT, when people just randomly visits..
Unless they?re actually my friends.

You should start getting into the habit of setting up a routine to delete people. Like if you trade frequently, delete every morning or every night or something like that. Otherwise, start getting into the habit of telling Porter to close the gates after your trader arrives. Of course, if a [uninvited] guest pops in before then, ask them to leave, or just close your gates and re-open.

Yes, and then nobody (including the person your waiting to trade with) can get in! What a great idea!

This is a new feature to the Animal Crossing Series, so I can understand that you might not fully understand what it actually is.

This feature allows the host of the town to tell Porter to close the gates whenever they feel like it. (I swear this is explained on the Train Station Help Poster) The host can tell Porter to close the gates no matter how many players are currently in the town. Closing the gates prevents new visitors from coming in, but allows in current visitors to still play around in the town and leave at will.

...really? I've tried before though and I couldn't...

You have to actually talk to Porter and select "Close The Gates". You should just try again, as I use this quite frequently and it ALWAYS works. Also, you may benefit from reading the poster next to Porter. It describes all the functions of the Train Station and Wifi'ing, etc.

You're the one being rude now, lol.
*Nintendo 3DS friends.

I have a life too. I'm just wondering: You have the time to do excessive amounts of trades, but not the time to delete them right after. Okay.

Send them home (Press START).

When I played Wild World it was pretty commonplace for people on your friendlist to visit your town without warning, but that was mostly because I mainly met people on an animal crossing chat site and I wouldn't spend most my time on there, let alone checking to see if I had messages from people asking if they could visit.

Personally, I welcome people entering my town randomly to hang out. If I feel they may be a ~risk~ I'd just switch my wifi off before they leave.

I can understand why people would prefer people to contact them beforehand if they're carrying out a lot of trades and whatnot, this is just how I prefer to play online with people n_n

This is why you only keep friends in your roster that you trust. People you met one time can be removed and easily added again. As much as I agree this sucks, you have to take into account that you could be preventing this

Ok, seeing as there is some confusion about the gates. Under Invitation Warnings: "Up to three people from other towns can visit you as long as your ticket gate is open. When using local wireless, there is a possibility you will be visited by people you do not know. After Invited guests have arrived please close the ticket gate in order to spend your time more safely. Also, if you press START while guests are visiting, you can choose End the multiplayer session. When done, all the visiting guests will eave at once, the ticket gate will close and communication ends."

I will have to experiment on whether or not the closed gate exclusion may be used on online sessions or just the local wireless ones. That is a little unclear.

It can be used on online sessions.

Someone came to sell perfect pears, next thing I know, two other people I don't remember came in and started to dig up stuff. Ugh. Now my big bro mustache is missing. :( I told them not to take anything, and stuff is missing.
Next time, I will have one person at a time.
I turned off the wifi and someone asked why and I was like "you were bothering me." Then I removed them from my friend's list. -.-
