Yes, in fact Mason jars are probably the best type of container to use for something like this.

Fitting to its appearance, this elixir, whilst beautiful, involves a dark and immoral process to be made. The essence of a fairy is to be drained into the hourglass, and matured with particular combinations of stones and flowers on a night of a waning crescent moon.
Tip the hourglass to dispense the matured elixir as seen prepared on the right, which can be rubbed on the skin sparingly, to result in youth to the user, reversing the physical age of their body.

Are your own thoughts consumed by the desire to know those of others? Prepare a Brew of Mind-Reading, and this desire shall be forever fulfilled. You will need several gold coins, to prove your greed for forbidden knowledge; an eye, for that which is normally seen; a clear crystal ball, for the things that the eye cannot see; a black cord, to bind your mind to all others'; and finally, clear, fresh water for true clarity. Once the brew is prepared, focus hard on the pain your doubts have caused you, on the pain that not truly knowing others has caused you, and then swiftly pour the entire contents of the brew onto your head. The thoughts of anyone nearby will now come readily to your mind, regardless of whether they want you to know them or not—but be warned, the effects of this potion are irreversible and cannot be controlled at will. Elixir of Illness

Combine shriveled garlic, poisoned berries grown from a fallen log, and a Devil’s-Tail leaf in a clear jar. Sprinkle all elements with cinnamon and seal the jar with a lid.

Puncture the lid with holes and hide the jar in a room frequented by your worst enemy. Over time, the foul magic of the jar will seep into the air, causing your enemy to suffer from a mysterious illness that can only be cured by removing the jar and burning all its contents one by one. So be sure to hide it well!

The Land on Edge Elixir

The Raven Witch in a Far Away Land has Threatened a Fantastical Land of their downfall. It may have been a plot of revenge, or a sort of jealously, but this elixir is powerful enough to create trembles in the earth, chaos in the city, and the downfall of the entire land by whatever means. It could even wipe it off the map (or planet?). All she needs is something sharp like nails (although simple sharp rocks could do), a crystal to harness the chaos energy, and a small symbol that represents the chosen kingdom and or land. In order to activate it, she needs to speak an incantation and shake the jar vigorously. It has to be shaken with pure malicious intent. If this elixir is created, the land is truly living on edge.

sure, there's a time and a place for dramatic revenge plots and life-ruining curses. but what about when you just want to cause someone some slight upset in their day? maybe just upset them enough to shake them off their normal rhythm. and sure, maybe the mild inconveniences can build up to the extent that the receiver's day is dramatically ruined after all. simply gather up objects that emanate the essence of irritating but not life ruining - some examples shown are a sticker that doesn't fully peel off, a charger that only works at a certain angle, a highlighter that smudges all your writing, a hair bobble snapped just as you try to tie your hair back, and small lego pieces - and place them together in a jar. sleep with this under your pillow thrice, thinking always of the intended receiver as you drift off.

This elixir contains the remnants of the death fae. The death fae are creatures under command of a witch who was said to be full of rage toward humanity.
The contents of this elixir includes death fae skulls, obsidian, and black salt. It is then completed by steeping death fungi caps in water collected during a blood moon.
This elixir is said to show the horrors of the holder's final moments before being permanently put to rest from the jar.

When faced with a battle that cannot be won through virtue alone, heroes may visit The Good Fairy and ask consult the evil spirits by loosening the lid just a crack and inhaling the dark fumes. Whispers of wisdom from the wicked will be imparted on you, but be careful not to breathe in too much, lest they corrupt your thoughts.

As the witch pulled yet another R from her gacha game while watching all the people around her pulling SSRs, she finally decided that she had enough. With the essence of an R pull, a set of dice set to Nat 1s, and a iTunes gift card, she brewed the perfect elixir of bad luck. One slip of this into an unsuspecting victims drink will cause them to be forever cursed only hit gacha pities.

this elixir is fabled to contain the tears and the heart of a sea witch. legend says she fell in love
with a sailor who frequented parts of the sea where she lived. a storm caused the sailor's
ship to be wrecked, his body never recovered. she began to search for her love but never
saw him again. it is said that her soul continues to search for the pirate to this day.

this potion curses the user who drinks it, making them cry uncontrollably. once
consumed, it also shortens the amount of time the user can breath underwater.

Have you ever wanted big powerful teeth? Then this elixir is for you. Kiss the jar 3 times to grow indestructible long rabbit teeth capable of biting through almost anything. Inside is a mix of crystals, a spell written on a scrap of paper, 4 rabbit teeth and a string of dental floss. (Just throwing it out there that the rabbit teeth came from my pets dental visit last month and I did not infact harvest them myself.)​

Put a jar of Joker's Gamble under the table of your next board game session and hope it curses another player's luck and not yours. There is only one curse in each jar so placed more if you wish to curse more players. The curse only activates halfway through the game to prevent the players from being suspicious of foul play. Any player who is cursed will quickly have the worst possible luck such as rolling 1s or drawing the worse possible cards until the end of the game.
