Events & Collectibles General Discussion

How do I know the value of my collectibles?

I want to sell them as I have no real sentimental value for them.

There's an unofficial TBT collectible guide that helps gauge general prices (here, as a Google Sheet), but you can also check out this thread where users post the prices of collectibles the sell/buy/trade. Not everyone posts there, so it also helps to look at selling threads in the TBT marketplace (though collectibles may be marketed of higher/lower value).

If you're wondering what your current lineup goes for: Villager/NPC collectibles go for 100-150 TBT, and common flowers are cheap at 5 TBT on average.

Thank you very much! ✨

Guys there's 2 days left until the Fair. And not a lot of people talking about it? C'mon now!! I know I'm excited. It's my first time participating! Anyone else??

P.S. What's this "vote tampering" thing from last year that supposedly caused all this??? I wasn't active at that time so I don't get it

I'm excited as well! This will be my third fair I believe, and I'm looking forward to what the birthday celebration will be like and what cute collectibles we'll be getting! The fair is always one of my favorite events, so I'm sure I'll enjoy it no matter what. And I missed the last few events, so it'll be nice to get back into the swing of things

As for vote tampering, maybe this.

I’m so excited honestly! I can’t wait to see the announcement post and find out what prizes etc are involved this year

Like I said before, the site’s not as active because there’s no event going on, and we haven’t had a new Animal Crossing game in a while. We’ll see more activity when the fair starts. But remember, this fair won’t have any roller coasters to ride on.

I'm not particularly excited, not because it's not something to be excited for but because I've had a lot going on myself, and I haven't been very active on here lately. and I would say that the vote tampering incident played a role in that, unfortunately. I am interested in seeing what new collectibles are released, and I might participate so that I can get a few to sell, but besides that I'm not really interested.

now if staff were to make my dreams come true and give me a fox plush then I would be very hyped lol

tbf, there isn't much to say regarding it currently, given the usual absense of info until it drops

there's certainly stuff I'm looking forward to and anticipating, as well as stuff I'm dreading and on guard about, but for the time.being, I can't contribute much past what has been repeated several times prior in the past few months

plus, while I enjoy, having participated in every once since 2014 certainly does just make this pre-event period kinda routine

Last year, I made this list called the TBT Fair Cycle.

  • Stage 1 - The event has been announced. Although it hasn’t opened up, the hype begins.
  • Stage 2 - The fair opens up. Contests open up, prizes are revealed, and other events are revealed. The site also has a banner update to follow along.
  • Stage 3 - Activities ensue. This is where people participate to earn tickets and some cool prizes.
  • Stage 4 - Contests close. At this point, the other events are about to wrap up or are on their last rounds.
  • Stage 5 - Contest voting begins. After a couple days, the staff pick their favorite entries as the rest vote on the best ones.
  • Stage 6 - Closing ceremony. By then, all contests and events have been closed, as winners are given a standing ovation and prizes. Leftover raffles open up as other raffles continue.
  • Stage 7 - Raffles close. The final fair activities are over, and the fair is essentially over.
  • Stage 8 - Banner and theme updates go back to normal, signaling that the fair is over.
  • Stage 9 - Real life prizes have been distributed. At this point, everything related to the TBT Fair is officially finished. From when they first announced the fair to the distribution of prizes.
It seems that we don’t have a Stage 1 this time. Stage 2 might be the first stage this time. This was more applicable for the 2016 and 2017 TBT Fairs.

Now does anyone remember when we used to have four weeks of activities instead of three?

tbf we got a way earlier announcement than usual and had the hype from it already blow by during the announcement period up to now

moreso since we now have a set idea of when fairs will be, unless anything changes. while before we were kinda always in the dark until shortly before they were announced

I’m just interested in seeing what the theme will be this year! I’m looking forward to this one mainly to take my mind off everything that’s happened over the past month. All of those things have been solved, but the event will be a much-needed a source of excitement.

I love the forum events and they are always so fun! I may not be able to participate in all of them like I used too, but the creativity of our community and the wonderful coordination from the staff always bring a smile to my face! So excited to see what comes up soon, thank you everyone for being amazing! (▰˘◡˘▰) 🥰🤩💚🌠

I am wishing for the multiplayer gaming sessions in TBT Fair every night. 🌠

It's not a complete fun fair without the games themselves you know. 🥳
Also, I do hope the event roadmap becomes a permanent addition in the forums.

I second this. I had so much fun with tbtwc 🙂. As a non-artist, I’d love another way to participate in the event and be able to win a collectible too 🙂
