I could easily rank all the feathers. the feathers and balloons are my favourite collectible groups, and even though they technically are just different colours I definitely could rank them based on how they appeal to me.

Now that apples are unlimited stock, I can rebuild the apple empire and have an all-apple sidebar again. But it’s not possible for me to do this right now, not with the amount of TBT on hand. That, and I have to save my TBT for other things.

So there’s more selling threads than buying threads. I can tell that with a few collectibles aside, TBT Bells is the #1 thing in demand right now. And I have to agree that there is a shortage of TBT Bells right now.

Though it’s also worth mentioning that some of these selling threads are “inventory clearout threads”.

Yeah I know for myself, the scenery collectibles being a thing now are a game changer to how I am going to have collectibles. I even acquired some before as fillers that I haven't had a chance to get out yet.

most people with a good sum of tbt it seems are only looking for very specific generally hard to find sellers for items, if even that. which is a big part of why I want staff to do an actual rerelease of several of these high tier items: to perhaps let these users branch out more in their purchasings

That’s what I was kinda thinking. As for those who don’t want to part with their TBT, it’s okay if just one or two users have 20k TBT or more without sharing their Bells. It’s also okay if 10 users have 30k TBT and everyone else has less than 5k TBT, where eight of them were looking for star wands. But if we have like so many users with lots of TBT without intentions of sharing or buying new collectibles, then that’s a problem.

I could see one day that there will be 200 users or more with at least 10k TBT, but that were to happen, then 100k TBT would be the new 10k TBT, as 1,000 TBT would be akin to 100 TBT right now.

Another fact about the collectible scarcity issue. Even some of the cheaper collectibles (Eevee Eggs, Fresh Feathers, Blue Roses) have a low supply and are hard to get from those who own the collectibles. Yet, some collectibles that are rare and high-priced like the Rad Feather and Gold Moon Jellyfish have such a low demand, so low that a used car in need of lots of repairs has a higher demand.

So I’m kinda suggesting that eevee eggs should be like 5k TBT while gold moon jellies should be 1k TBT.

that would be nice, at least have some more of them in circulation since they are what people are generally looking for. I know they're rare and having some rarer collectibles is a good thing obviously, but when it's causing the market to become stagnant because people are hoarding all their TBT and only looking for those very specific expensive collectibles, it gets a little frustrating. I'm sure the 12 Days of Collectibles thing will help a bit, but I do agree that there should be some kind of limited re-release of some of the higher tier items to stimulate the market a bit.



I mostly came here because Apple mentioned something about ranking the feathers, and I want to do that myself. why? because I love feathers they're my favourite collectible group along with the balloons, so I'm pretty much obligated to haha!
(I went all out with this oops, if anyone intends to rate them too please don't waste as much time as I just did lmao orz)

okay so the Glam Feather is my #1 favourite feather of all time, and it has been for years now. I actually traded my Nightmare Egg for mine back in 2019, but even though the Nightmare Egg is really rare/expensive now I don't regret it at all. I adore the Glam Feather, I love the colour scheme/blending and it's simply beautiful.

the Rainbow Feather has been my last dream collectible for a long time. I love rainbows, I love feathers, it's a match made in heaven. don't know if or when I'll ever get one, but I'll always hold out hope for it.

the Sweet Feather has grown on me so much over the years. I traded my Aurora Sky for one back in early 2021 I believe, and ever since I've loved it. It reminds me of the colours of the trans flag, and also very happily reminds me of the Kracko incidents from the 2017 fair hehe.

the Purple Feather is my favourite solid coloured feather, because purple is my favourite colour and it's giving Waluigi lol. :waah:

the Yellow Feather is def my second favourite in the original group, because whadaya know, yellow is my second favourite colour! fun fact, it used to be the other way around! I don't use this one as much, but I really do love it a lot.

I love the Pink Feather, it looks so soft and the shade of pink is the perfect balance of bold and pastel.

the Final Boss Feather is another one that's really grown on me over the years. it reminds me of my silver fox Sterling (particularly his floofy tail hehe) so in that sense it's very special to me.

the Fresh Feather is so cute, something about the combination of pastel green yellow is very soothing to the eyes. it reminds me of lemon lime soda!

the Hot Feather has such a pleasing colour gradient, it really looks like it's on fire! it also reminds me of my OC Solmew.

the Cool Feather was the first collectible I ever purchased from an event (being the 2017 fair), so it's a bit nostalgic for me. and like the hot feather, this one reminds me of my OC Lumew!

the Rad Feather really is rad, because it simultaneously reminds me of Ho-oh (aka one of the best legendary Pokemon ever) and watermelons lol.

the Green Feather is great because @/Alienfish once referred to it as a "weegee weed" and now I'll never not associate it with Luigi (and the other thing ofc lmaoo)

the Pave Purple Feather is nice, I prefer the bold colour of the Purple and Glam Feathers but I can always appreciate some purple!

the Red Feather is one I've come to associate with Mario, since the green one is the weegee weed, so I like it a lot for a similar reason.

the Blue Feather is lovely, and reminds me of one of my dear friends @/LadyDestani which makes it even better!

I like the White Feather a lot, I don't see myself acquiring one or using one much but it is versatile and I like that!

the Black Feather is very cool, I usually go for colorful/bright collectibles but this is one of my favourite dark ones.

the Pave Pink Feather is, honestly, the only feather that I'm kinda eh about. I do think it's cute, I'm just not much of a pastel person. I also wish the colour was a bit more bold, it's a little too desaturated for my taste.

I honestly feel bad for making cynical comments towards the moon jellies and the Rad feather, but these comments stemmed from my previous experiences on selling them, where nobody came to buy these collectibles off of me. Especially for the Rad feather, since it was advertised to be like the White feather in 2017 as the Final Boss feather was advertised to be like the Black feather. I felt that it was the most under-appreciated feather from the time, while the Sweet feather (which wasn’t advertised to be as special as the Rad feather) had all of the love like the Pokéball collectibles once had.

But the “used car” analogy isn’t just applicable to the moon jellies and Rad feather. The overall community had a bad habit of refusing to buy any collectible with a low demand. The first time I noticed this was in 2015. The supply/demand issue in the TBT Marketplace regardless of activity is very polarized depending on collectible. If a collectible is low in demand, people really don’t want it. If a collectible is high in demand, people refuse to sell it. However, there are some unwanted collectibles that I’m willing to accept (like the balloons) and some highly coveted collectibles that I would rather sell (like the weird doll).

more collectible ranking? don’t mind if i do!

- i’ve never been big on the feathers, but if i had to choose a favourite, it’d probably be the glam feather! purple/pink is such a pretty combo, and the shades used for this feather are gorgeous! it’s such a pleasing collectible to look at.

- cool feather my beloved fr, it’s such a gorgeous collectible! i don’t get to use mine as often as i should, but it always makes me happy when i do! i especially have a lot of fun pairing it with my bluebird of happiness plush, celeste plush, and pavé pink feather!

- the sweet feather used to be my #1 favourite, but it’s a little too pastel for me, so it’s been knocked down my favourites list over time as i’ve gotten more into more vibrant collectibles. it’s still in my top 3 feathers, though! it’s giving delicious cotton candy dreams; such a pretty feather!

- i feel like i’m gonna upset a whole group of people with this one LOL, but i actually really like the pavé pink feather… more so than the og pink. maybe i’m more partial to it because i actually have it lol, but i like the more faded, pastel look to the pavé feathers. idk, i think they’re cute, with this one being my favourite!

- my favourite og solid colour feather! there’s just something about it that is so simplistically lovely to me. i have a lot of fun trying to work it into lineups.

- watermelon feather!! i feel like i would struggle so bad trying to work it into lineups, but i kinda regret selling the one i had. i miss my watermelon feather fr.

- i don’t think i would be able to work this into a single lineup if i had it, but i love the vibrant colours so much. the feather of a phoenix!

- again, i’d probably have difficulty coming up with lineups with this if i had it, but on its own i honestly really like the pavé tail feather! it’s unique, and the colours are so fun!

- bug‘s description that the pink feather is the perfect balance of bold and pastel is so accurate! it’s so pretty, i feel like making lineups with it, the sweet feather, and the pavé pink feather would be so fun.

- very fun, i like this shade of purple more than the og purple feather’s shade tbh.

- very fresh and clean! i’m usually not big on green/yellow as a combo, but the fresh feather makes it work in a very crisp way. love it!

- i love the rainbow collectibles, but the rainbow feather is honestly one of my least favourites. it’s still very cool, don’t get me wrong, but i feel i would like it more if it was more of a gradient rainbow feather, instead of a solid colour block one… if that even makes sense, LOL.

- i’ve never cared for the final boss feather much since i’m more drawn to colourful collectibles, but it’s a very smooth collectible! it also reminds me of @xSuperMario64x’s sterling, so it gets bonus points for that.

- again, i’m more drawn to colourful collectibles, but i still appreciate the beauty of the black feather! she may not be for me, but she’s still a sight for sore eyes.

- i don’t have much commentary for this one, haha. i think it’d be fun to pair it with my blue and/or cool feathers, but it doesn’t appeal to me much otherwise. still pretty, though!

- pairing it with the green feather would make for a cool christmas lineup! i think i’ve seen people do that in the past, and it’s always looked so nice!

- same as above.

- i really wish that this was a different shade of purple, but maybe it’s better for my wallet that it’s not, LOL.

- i think i’d like this one more if it was pastel. i don’t vibe with the highlighter yellow at all, i’m sorry.

I may like glow wands, balloons, fancy eggs, and Christmas items, but the last two are unfortunately too tacky and not worth being part of my “assorted” collectibles collection.

tbf I love all the feathers so this is gonna be hard ;;

- I admired this one from afar for its monochrome beauty until it started reminding me of one of my comfort characters (not the character I think it's actually based on lol) and then it was all over for me.

- absolutely gorgeous, I love it so much ;u; I also love that it has the same look as the gradient feathers instead of the original solid color ones! also I'm always down for more black/white/grey collectibles

- The colors are so vibrant on this one and I'm firmly on Team More Orange Collectibles!! also happens to remind me of a couple of my comfort characters so it's got that going for it

- I love teal and blue and this one really excels at being those colors!! it's very striking and I really love it

- pink and green is my favorite color combo, so I'm super glad that I was finally able to obtain the lovely watermelon feather it does strike me as being a little hard to use maybe? but the colors make me happy and I'm sure I'll find good use for it

- I'm not a fan of the OG feather border because it feels too harsh imo, but the Purple Feather wears it really well I think! It's not terribly noticeable and I really love the vibrant shade here.

- Would be top-tier for me if it didn't have the black border, but it's still gorgeous and elegant and highly versatile ;w;

- I love the magenta/indigo gradient of this one!! I feel like it matches a lot of the space-y purple collectibles really well too

- this super soft pastel pink is absolutely to die for, I love it!! also digging the soft border on the Pavé feathers

- lavender is an awesome color and one of my favorite flowers/scents, it's such a nice shade I feel like I can almost smell this feather

- also a lovely shade of pink!! I think it's one of the feathers that matches the sky background the best as well, and I also got this feather as a gift from another user on here and it gives me the warm fuzzies for that reason too

- it's a really nice shade of blue! matches the background nicely as well

- I love this color of green!

- I wish it was just a smidge more of a golden yellow but it's still very nice and bright!

- I still really like it but the shade of red feels a little dull compared to the other solid color feathers to me? I wish it was just a little brighter/more saturated

- no plans to seek this one out at the moment but it's still incredibly pretty!! I love the pastels and if I did manage to get ahold of one I'd definitely keep it

- also very nice but I feel like I want to have the yellow and mint colors separately?? I don't see myself really using yellow/green gradients currently, so it's not on my dream list for that reason, but that could change tbh because I still really like it!

- I love the rainbow collectibles but I don't use rainbow aesthetics very often ;u; I'd totally go for it again if I had the chance but for now I'm fairly content admiring it in other people's lineups!

- pretty but seems the hardest to work with, although it might grow on me more if/when Pavé green, yellow, and blue feathers get released! I think I might also like it better if the pattern was in rainbow or reverse rainbow order

GOATED collectibles IMO. Would be permanent lineup collectibles. I traded off my white feather a while back for a disco egg, which I don't regret, but I would love to shoot for a white feather next.

If I had a whole bunch of collectibles I don’t plan on having, I might do a giveaway game like the giveaway thread from October of 2014. But right now, the collectibles I own aren’t the collectibles I would sell or give away.

What you do in games like this, you guess a number, and the collectible associated with that will be awarded to you. And you can only win once.
