ohh my god I tried a few different text options and user title colors, but I was worried they were too hard to read with this backdrop, so I spent what felt like forever searching for an emoji alternative that matched the aesthetic on both desktop and mobile. the falling leaves emoji was super cute on mobile and very fitting overall but had to be relegated to my signature where it looks good in both modes, because in my user title on desktop, one of the leaves was neon stop-sign red and it clashed so badly I physically could not stand it
so in the end I settled on a fleur de lis just because it's pretty and not clashy color-wise or thematically ;u; there is no deeper meaning lol
I used to have a title on a few other forums declaring myself as Friendly Neighborhood Fangirl, drawing inspiration from Spiderman and the fact that I'm involved and obsess over so many shows, books, games that it's not even funny anymore. The answer to most "Are you in ____ fandom?" is usually yes. ((Don't take that as a challenge because there still are quite a few I'm not into. Challenges will be met with me telling you about Homestuck.))
Then I figured out I was genderfluid and fangirl didn't fit the same way it used to. So, I became Friendly Neighborhood Fanthing. I felt that more suitable and identifiable for me.
And then Space Camp Happened.
In which I, for some reason, went absolutely nuts with succulents and included them everywhere I could think of. I decided that it was canon that my TBT sona is now absolutely obsessed with succulents. It's like a curse that occasionally publicly rears its head, although she thinks about them at least twice a day. So, then I became Friendly Neighborhood Succulentexclusively here on TBT. =33
I'm only going to have this for a couple days, but I really have to mention Christmas in October somehow. As I don't really care for Halloween, I'll just celebrate Unchristmas.
It's a combination of the English title of Animal Crossing and the translation of the game in Japanese. (Doubutsu no Mori, is also known as, "Animal Forest".)
