I think most people have been to some type of public fair, festival, or carnival. But even if you haven't, id imagine you have heard about some of the kinds of food that tend to show up at such events local to you.
>What are some of the carnival foods you really enjoy?
> Is there a type of carnival food you'd like to try sometime that you never had before?

I look forward to potentially hearing about all the variety of foods and names!

Where I am, elephant ears are common and popular carnival food for example. It is a fry bread with cinnamon and sugar. Warm and tasty, but best to have someone to share it with because it is big (and not very good for you either haha). For people who don't know what it is, the name throws them off and they find it bizarre. But the bread kinda resembles an elephant ear I guess and that is why it is called that.

i hate going to fairs but love the food. elephant ears are my favorite. fairs here always have the same foods that ive had before so i doubt there's anything fancy to try.

my favorites are funnel cakes, fried oreos, churros, and fried pickles. I would love to try a turkey leg, preferably at a renaissance fair since I’ve never been before and would love to experience it!

For a second there I thought you meant literal elephant ears I was about to ask what fairs are y’all going to

Fair food is pretty good. Elephant ears/fried dough is really good, and so is funnel cake. I can’t remember the last time I’ve actually gone to a fair so I can’t remember the other good ones.

I’m not one for fairs, but Deep Fried Oreos are my favorite.

I haven’t tried any other fair treats aside what I mentioned, since I don’t go to fairs often. But whenever I go to one sometime I’ll see what they got.

i usually just get a large glazed donut with toppings; and an esquite. They did sell boba last year, which I found surprising. However, a local shop opened this year that makes delicious boba drinks and bubble waffles.

i like pretzels and churros! i went to a fair last year and was super excited to try tornado potatoes, but they ended up being pretty disappointing 😔 i would like to get them from a different place sometime
