One of my all-time favorite cakes is the berries and cream cake (officially called the Berry Chantilly Cake) that Whole Foods makes.
I love that the outer layer of whipped cream is light, as opposed to a heavier buttercream. The cake itself is a spongey one with a nice balance between vanilla and creamy sweetness. The custard between cake layers is not too dense and also has a good vanilla flavor. And there are a ton of berries everywhere! Sometimes they do a strawberries-only version which I LOVE (I'm a huge fan of strawberries).
I love this one so much I get it for myself for my birthday, even if I've gotten a different cake from a friend or from family.

You know what is up! I really like pumpkin cake to. Put some creamcheese icing on and slap them in the fridge for a nice chill.

I would pick a cheese cake or a cookie cake. Cookies are the best things ever.
As for regular actual cakes... I don't know. We usually had vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry if we did that. And I am not a person who is really into all that icing from store bought cakes.
I think I would pick a blueberry pound cake with lemon icing. I would love to try that sometime and it sounds amazing.
