What is your favorite high end beauty product? I need new suggestions from anybody, this can include shampoos, lotions, perfumes, but I prefer favorite make up products and primers that can be found at Sephora. Id love to hear some suggestions.

I like Bare Minerals a lot :) I got my foundation on sale for 60% off!

"NAKED" is good as well :D Love their eyeshadow <3

I have the naked 2 palette! I love it, very pigmented eye shadow! I haven't tried BM foundation yet because I have tricky skin. I usually prefer the things that look worst on me so I never got around to trying it. I think I am going to pick up a sample this weekend now!

i don't know anything about makeup but my friend uses this lip gloss from sephora. apparently thats a big beauty product company

I feel like lip gloss is very messy. If she hasn't tried yet id recommend the KATVOND liquid lipsticks. They last even when you're eating!

anastasia's brow products are fantastic! Just make sure you get the right color. The one I got is too dark and harsh.

You totally should! I finally got a foundation that works AMAZINGLY with my skin, and that's saying a lot for that company. I am African American with "lighter-skin" (I hate saying that, but idk how else to put it) and pink undertones so finding a good tone to match me was hard enough! I highly recommend, for any ethnicity.

NAKED is amazing - it's just the right amount of flare but also subtle so it looks professional.

I also really like Maybelline and Covergirl but idk if they are considered "high end".

Face masks from SK-II definitely... it's so expensive though so I wait until I visit my mom and we mask together haha. My favourite lip care product is Fresh's SUGAR lip treatment which I've been using for years now. I also really dig their perfume scents. Sometimes on the way to work I'll go into Sephora and spray myself with Fresh's honeysuckle perfume haha. It's also quite pricey so I don't want to buy it yet... I've been using Elizabeth Arden since college but I think I'll switch soon.

Oh and this isn't considered high end but I love NYX lip colours.

Maybelline and Cover Girl would be considered drug store.... But those are the two best drug store brands IMO along with Neutrogena. I am Italian and most drug store foundations or moisturizers. When I tan in beds my skin gets so dark people have mistaken me for Mexican or African American from what people say (found this out because they used wrong racial slurs towards me). And there really is no in between for me. I feel like Sephora has a better color range. ESP BM, because they have the most colors out of all foundations on the market besides true match, which I wore as a greasy self tanned mess....yuck. I feel like make up can make you look way better or way worse.

do you use the liquid or powder foundation? I tried the bm one before w a powder before I just regifted it (wasn't mine or moms color)

I have tried an Elizabeth Arden foundation before in the color buff! I am turning 19 next month and I am still very young and I haven't had much time to experiment with my skin yet. I will write this skin mask down so thank you so much! I have been thinking of ways I could start early skin care. I also love high end perfumes but I only bought the JB one a few times, because I use it like its body spray and normal 50$ perfume bottles I can run through in weeks.. (gross I know but its an OCD type thing with me)

I also have nyx lippies! theyre better than MAC imo and they're cruelty free!

Too Faced Born This Way foundation! It has buildable coverage without feeling too thick and I like that it's not drying either. It also doesn't make my skin break out. I really like the NARS sheer glow foundation but every time I use it, I'll start breaking out :( If it weren't for that, I feel like it'd be one of my faves. I also really love the ABH Modern Renaissance palette as well as the Too Faced Peach Palette, the latter for all the pretty colors and how good it smells, and the former for its amazing pigmentation. I've never had pigmented shadows like the ones from Modern Renaissance tbh I also have the NAKED 2 palette but it pales in comparison.

I use powder foundation, but I rarely use it. I was fortunate enough to get minimal acne genetics, so I only use it for special events to give me that "glamorous" and "made-up" look or when I have bed eyes/circle under my eyes. I like powder a lot more imo.

Lol, I make my own perfumes since I am obsessed with essential oils! I'll try out the brands you guys mentioned though.

racial slurs

That's terrible. I live where people are generally more accepting towards diversity so I never really experienced that! Sorry that happened to you :c

too faced chocolate bar palette is my fave, mostly cause it smells fab

I would buy more high-end stuff if I could afford it - sleek eyeshadows are just as amazing even though they're drugstore

If you're into eyeshadow, the Urban Decay Primer Potion is a must and all of UD's eyeshadow palettes are great too, especially the NAKED ones. Also from UD- their setting spray called All Nighter. Makes your makeup not budge all day and last!

The Kat Von D liquid lipsticks are amazing too, they have both natural and bright/cool colors. I really recommend the shades Lolita and Lolita II.

For bronzer, Nars Laguna is amazing. I use it everyday to contour. It's matte and lovely

Those are my absolute musts from Sephora!

Omg...My bday is coming up and I plan on ordering from toofaced within this month.. I was rooting for the Peach and chocolate bar palette but I might have to go into my local Sephora and get matched! I heard a lot of good things about this foundation. I switched to bb cream.. But I just love foundation. I'm a full coverage bish

Omg, I planned on buying Lolita and a purple shade from her next time I need a lipstick (I barely wear it but have a lot). You have extremely good make up taste! Haha primer potion is my all time faveeee. I also love the fixing spray but it makes me so oily. I wish it worked on me like everyone else. I feel like no matter what I do different my make up always slides off....

I love the goof proof eyebrow pencil by benefit. MAC also do pretty good eyebrow pencils. Also basically any mascara by too faced is good.

Not sure if OP, helen, actually wants high-end, or mid-end, as most reccomendation so far have been leaning towards mid-end, so I will try to include both.

I wouldn't super recommend Too Faced to you only because the have some of the worst inconsistency issues out of any brand I have seen. Their Chocolate Bar palettes have the least issues in my experience, however the Sweet Peach has been having some off and on quality control issues still. If you are going to get either, I recommend getting it through Sephora and not their website, as they take a lot longer to get orders shipped out. Pat McGrath has some really beautiful eye and lip products, but the full price is pretty intense.

Sephora's in-house brand is pretty good for lip products and some eye products, if you are wanting something really budget friendly. Bite Cosmetics has some the best lipstick formulas I have ever tried if you are willing to splurge on them, their color range is fairly big, as is Buxom's line of lippies.

KVD and Lorac have some very creamy eyeshadows, though I could make some better specific palette recommendations based on what you are looking for. Urban Decay's shadows are nice as well, the Naked 2, 3, and Vice palettes are all very reached for on regular basis, but the Electric palette was sort-of patchy and dusty.

For foundation, IT cosmetics and Laura Mercier have some relative good coverage to them without a lot of caking. KVD's foundation is super high coverage but cakes up like crazy, even when I use a BB to sheer it out, but if you want like the highest coverage possible, that's the one you want to go for. Some higher-end foundations that are pretty nice are Koh Gen Do, Guerlain, and Givenchy, though their color range is not the best.

Oh, ok! Well, I don't really know much about make-up so I'd listen to realistic Isabelle, lol. I just put the fanciest *I've* had instead of what my mom has, lol.
