Cranky has always been my favorite. Especially back in Wild World where they were more true to form than the labotomized New Leaf crankies.

They were witty, angry at times and very generous at heart.

They made you earn their picture back then, and it felt almost like a real friendship.

I hope New Horizons brings back that wit and charm. And the extensive dialogue Wild World had. ^_^

Snooty runs a close second.
Gotta love their sense of humor.

I've always really liked the sass of the Snooty and Smug villagers. I find the peppy ones and jocks too annoying. I like to feel like I earned their friendship.

I've loved the cranky villagers since the original GameCube version. They were a lot crankier back then and it felt so rewarding to win them over and gain their friendship. I like them the best in New Leaf too, even though they aren't nearly as grumpy and rude as they used to be.

Cranky! I love how they slowly warm up to you and their cheekiness. They remind me of the old villagers.
Lazy is definitely a close second.

aww no love for uchi i love them but just not as much as i love lazy and normal ones.

Lazy is just the easiest to warm up to. Sleepy lil babbies just want a nap
I love how normal villagers take care of you. It’s different from Uchi because it’s almost in a motherly or caring aunt way haha
Smug, I like their dialogue and letters but honestly I don’t like most smug villager designs hahaha

Cranky villagers are my favorite, though I can't really remember if it was always that way, I may have once preferred normal villagers when the dialogue had more substance.

Cranky villagers are one of the only personality types that make me laugh, besides jocks sometimes.

I love Cranky villagers, seeing as my all time favourite villager, Cyrano, is one of them I just love the way they act and talk, and they truly have a soft heart when you get to know them. Once you become really good friends with them and they start showing you their kind and loving side, it?s the best feeling in the world. Of course, they?ll still be cranky but to a small extent, you know how it?ll be because the way they act towards you is different. It isn?t a rude cranky it?s sort of like a friendly cranky once you start bonding with them. Can?t lie I love Smug villagers too, they?re flirty attitude is so cute.
