Most of my favourite villagers are lazy! I think their dialogue about bugs and food is super cute -w-

I love smug villagers - they just seem not as exagerrated and draining as some other personalities like lazy and peppy

I like the cranky villagers, I find them the most interesting.

I used to love the jock personality. Now they only talk about deltoids and insult me about my stings. I still love sterling and all but they butchered them big-time. At an introspective, however, the previous games still elevate them to my all-time favorite (their designs-when they’re good-are some of the best).

I used to hate snooties because they were stubborn sticks in the mud that I never were able to truly befriend. Diana changed my opinion completely. I love how she’s perfectly fine with Matty being a feral child despite her classiness.

Crankies are way too watered down in NH and I don't really have personal experience with them in any other game but they don't really fit the name of "Cranky".

5-7 is basically the "okay" tier. Lazy's are pretty funny and absolutely babies like holy cow I can barely imagine any of them being over 13 haha so they're the highest in the group. Smug and Snooty I feel the same about. They're basically the cool/sassy mature villager. I haven't really connected to either type much, oops.

Didn't think I liked peppy's as much as I did until now. They're just really fun/ny to talk to and most of their dialogue is rememberable.

Same as above for Jocks, but I'm more attached to jocks (Sterling, Pierce, Goose, and Sheldon to name a few) than I am peppy's. When you get a high level of friendship with them they send such sweet letters... God I miss Sterling aaaaa.

I have like 3 normals so I'm probably just bias lol. I'll admit they can be pretty boring...
but I don't care they have some of the best designed characters and look amazing and they're super sweet and that's all I need and--

Uchi's, I'll come right off the bat and say I'm obviously bias. Had 2 in New Leaf and they were my favorite villagers. I'm a sucker for tomboy-ish girls no all homo. Plus one gave me medicine when I got stung by a bee, it just solidified my love for the personality even if they have the worst character design pool.

It used to be cranky (especially for the wolves) but after moving Beau in, I realized how funny and enjoyable the Lazy personality is! Similar to what others have said, they feel like oblivious yet endearing children.

I think my favorite type is cranky. They seem so rough on the outside and soft in the inside . I also love snooty, they’re so sassy lol.

Lazy villagers have the most interesting dialogue and laid back personalities but the Uchi villagers (specifically Pashima) make me feel like they’re ‘ride or die’ and I could call them at 2am to help me in a fistfight behind a Denny’s
