Favourite season in AC:NH?

Many people have been playing the game for over a year now. Which season has been your favourite to play during and why?

I've found autumn most enjoyable. Halloween is my favourite event and I really like the seasonal DIYs available at this time of the year.

Definitely autumn. I love the colors and like you, Vris, Halloween is my favorite holiday.

My only regret is that the trees don't last longer with the fall colors.

I expected to like autumn the most, but I just love summer! The colors are all so vibrant and it just seems so idyllic and full of possibility, like the perfect summer.

I also think, since I really got into the game in summer originally (I started playing in May of last year) that my island is kind of designed for summer, and everything looks best then.

I started playing ACNH in winter so it'll always hold special memories for me but I can't wait to play in Autumn to get the Autumn DIY's as well as the Halloween ones. Some of the videos I've seen on YouTube of ACNH in Autumn just looks stunning colour wise.

I’m basing this decision purely off the fact that i am burning up right now and it’s hot as heck in my house… WINTER!!

My favorites in game usually go opposite of what the season is outside irl. If it’s drastically hot (imo anything over 80°F. is drastically hot I really hate the heat) then i want cold in game because im just so over the irl season.

I will say, for my island since it’s heavily tropical and jungle themed the summer works the best for me!

Autumn is super pretty and I love all the DIY furniture that comes with the season.

Then include the fact it has Halloween and thanks giving.

Its just the best time of year!

I really like spring and fall the most! Specifically cherry blossom season during the spring and maple leaf season during the fall- I love it when the sky has all the leaves/petals floating. It's so magical! Plus the DIYs for both of those seasons are great and I use them everywhere across my islands. I definitely find myself time traveling back to these seasons a lot just to enjoy them for a longer period of time.

I have to admit that though I was initially excited about snow season over the winter, it wore out it's welcome. Summer was great but not different enough from spring as to be remarkable. All of the seasons are great in their own way but if I had my choice, I'd have my main island permanently in spring and the other in fall all year round!

Autumn no doubt. I love all the warm tones, the holidays and how much variety there is in autumn. Throu out the entire season there's like 6 different leaf colour changes. In all the other seasons there's like, 2, at best. Also the variety of materials that can be gathered; mushies, acorns and pinecones. I love the DIYS for the season and I also love the holidays, Halloween and ThanksGiving. Autumn has alot more to offer than the other seasons imo.

My favorite is Autumn followed by spring. My second island is in the Southern Hemisphere and just went to winter. I really miss my red trees. I love the DIY’s that are in Autumn. I also really like spring and cherry blossoms.

Autumn, followed closely by Winter/Spring and then Summer.

Autumn is also my favorite season irl, it's cozy. I love the gradual change of the colors, the look of the weeds are the best of any season and I just love how there is so much going on. You have 3 different sets of seasonal DIY and 4 different materials to collect (acorns/pinecones/mushrooms/maple leaves- and they need different activities to get them- shaking trees/finding them/catching with a net) and there is the Halloween event with its own set of DIY. The Maple Leaf season with the leaves falling down is probably my favorite time of the year.

Winter and Spring also offer a lot to do, and they are also very pretty (shoutout to the Cherry Blossom season and the pretty crunchy snow), but Autumn is just a bit more beautiful.

Summer just lacks something... the DIY are not really my cup of tea and there is only one set/material to collect. However, I do appreciate the fact that this is the most wonderful season to bug hunt/fish due to the spawns available-

As in real life, my favorite season in Animal Crossing games is Autumn. I enjoy the scenery with the grass and leaves changing colors, the DIYs for Autumn are nice, it features Thanksgiving which is one of the better events in the game in my opinion, and it features Halloween which is my favorite day of the year.

I'd rank the seasons:
1) Autumn: For reasons stated above.
2) Winter: I prefer the cold over heat, and Winter's my second favorite season in real life too. I enjoy the snowy scenery, the DIYs, Toy Day and New Year's Eve. I also enjoy building snowpeople, though it's disappointing that they only included Snowboys in New Horizons since I enjoyed playing the Snowman Bingo in New Leaf.
3) Summer: Rare, high-priced fish and bugs to catch, including the sharks.
4) Spring: Not much to say, really. The other seasons are just more interesting.

I would vote for Autumn as my fave, especially since it doesn’t have the real life thing I hate about Autumn: the smell of burning leaves!

Such a hard choice! I have to go with summer. I always do a tropical thing during summer and its my favorite. They're all great tho, except spring lol

Ah, man, I'm not sure I can pick between fall and winter! I love the snow in winter, and Toy Day is always fun, but I also love the leaves and DIYs in fall... plus, Halloween is THE BEST holiday. Hmm... I guess I have to go with Fall, but it's really close!

Autumn is my favourite season in the game, and in real life, as the colours and scenery are pretty and it always feels like a really cosy season. Also my favourite seasonal DIYs are the mushroom ones and I particularly enjoyed the Halloween and Turkey Day events which made Autumn a very fun season to play in the game for me.

Tough call - every season has its perks and beautiful aspects. I picked autumn, because it’s my actual favourite season and I love the colour of the leaves in acnh (as well as the mushrooms everywhere )

Summer is definitely my favourite because the colours are so vibrant.

I expected to like autumn (and I do love the autumn seasonal DIYs). I do love the autumn leaves, and the deep and vibrant oranges of the trees, but I think the dull green grass, hedges and shrubs are a bit uninspiring. I'm surprised autumn is ranked #1 currently!

I would have to say that winter is my favorite season. I really enjoyed how my island looked during winter and how different it is aesthetically compared to the rest of the seasons. I really enjoy the snow that falls and the aurora borealis that pops up every so often. I also enjoy the winter DIYs the most out of all the seasonal DIYs. It also helps that winter is my favorite season IRL, lol.

For fun, my ranking of all 4 seasons in-game is Winter > Autumn > Spring > Summer.
