I love eating mushrooms in pretty much any way. I use them raw in salads, sautéed or stir fried with noodles and veggies. They're great in pasta, risotto, soup, or omelettes. I love them on pizza, in quesadillas, or grilled on a kabob. A family member makes some of the best stuffed mushrooms I've ever tasted every Thanksgiving. I've had a portobello burger once before and it was good. Mushroom and Swiss burgers were also my favorite back when I ate meat. I've never heard of mushrooms on toast, but it sounds tasty.

I freaking LOVE mushrooms! Especially when you stir fry them on high eat while constantly stirring. Once they squeak, they're done! Perfect on top of steak :)

I think my favorite way is just sautéed in a little butter. But I love mushrooms in so many ways!! My mom would chop them up (shiitakes) and then add to eggs and steam that whole thing. The egg was ok, but I think it was the mushroom flavor that I loved the most. I love to really reduce my mushrooms and get the most of that umami flavor concentrate:)

My boyfriend really like his mushrooms with cream. We had a little tiff about how I think this masks the true taste of the mushroom;) he was appalled that I would just eat them plain with a little butter/oil;)
That said, I love a creamy pasta sauce with mushrooms, or some chicken Marsala… yum!

Once I went to a vegan restaurant and I was served trumpet mushroom “Scallops” which were just giant trumpet mushroom stalks sliced the short way and then sautéed. I was in heaven!

also a fan of them stir-fried or grilled! i like to shred up king oyster mushrooms and stir fry them. they have that shredded chicken breast look.

Honestly other than raw I don’t think there’s a way I don’t like mushrooms. But I just generally have a thing against raw veggies lol.
But seeing as I don’t eat meat, they come up often as options for something to have instead in a meal, and while they don’t exactly have the same nutrients like protein, they are delicious and really can have a meat-like texture depending on the variety. The most standard way I make them is baby bellas sautéed with olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper, and added to really whatever (rice, pasta, you name it), and honestly I probably have them this way at least once a week. But it’s also fun to branch out to some of the more interesting varieties on occasion, oyster mushrooms battered and baked can really seem like chicken, shiitakes have a delicious flavor all their own, king oysters are fun to experiment with when I can happen to find some… and the list just goes on 😂 Just this past weekend at a big event the venue made a mushroom stroganoff that was SO good and I was so sad that I couldn’t take the leftovers home lol. Anyway mushrooms are amazing and now I’m hungry

I don't think I've ever had mushrooms on toast, but that sounds lovely! I need to dig up a good recipe...
It's hard to go wrong with slathering things on toast...

I like the unique appearances of different mushrooms, but I don't like the taste or texture of eating them. I'd prefer to cook without them entirely when possible, though I will eat try to eat them if someone else serves something with mushrooms in it.

I really enjoy them on burgers, pasta and pizza. I also really like them with steak or even in a mushroom cream sauce on pork.
