I like soup but it's not usually my preferred choice, and I also like to have something like a sandwich with soup so I'm not just eating liquid.

My grandma made soup every day, I loved it but I don't have the patience to do it every day. Yesterday I made pumpkin soup.

I really like soup, but it also depends on what kind it is. I've recently made a pumpkin soup based off of Twilight Princess recipe. It was pretty good actually. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I'll be making it again and finding other variations of it.

I love soup. I haven’t been eating a lot of soup lately, but the one I’ve been eating frequently is Campbell’s Chili Mac. I was originally getting the Chef Boyardee Chili Mac, but I haven’t seen it st the store for months, so now I get the Campbell’s one.

i really enjoy soup when i have it but always prefer home made soup (butternut squash, carrot or sweet potato are my favourites) which can be quite heavy for me at times so have to be particularly hungry to really want it and often only have it in cold weather but it’s one of my go tos in winter.

I so want to like soup. I’ve really really tried but for some reason I cannot 😭 so many times I’ll see a soup and think ooh that sounds nice, try it and no 😢

Why do I keep reading the title of this thread as "Soup Onions" instead of opinions?

Speaking of soup and onions though, I do like French Onion soup and would consider it one of my favorites, even if I've only had it a few times in my life. I don't really eat soup all that often though.

And the more I read this thread, the less "soup" looks like a real word...

Soup is the best!! I really love soup when it’s thick and hearty, like a minestrone with lots of lentils and a thick tomato broth. I also really like making soup from scratch!!

Every Christmas there’s a local craft fair near my house and there’s this husband and wife farmer couple who always brings these DIY soup-in-a-bag kits full of beans, lentils, herbs and spices, and fresh chicken stock. You just need a pot and some water and within an couple hours you’ll have made your own soup!!

They had a really really good Tuscan Wedding style soup last year that came with pasta. I’m really excited for this years kits.

I almost always forget soup exists. It’s something that’s not in my house much and when I do have some it’s usually because I’m sick and it’s easy on my stomach. Tonight I had some potato and beef soup though since I didn’t know what else to eat and I actually really enjoyed it.

Soup is good. I often just have as the main thing then something else with it. It's nice and warming.

Favorites (on their own)

—Cheesy broccoli
—Minestrone
—French Onion Soup
—Zuppa Toscana (Tuscan Soup, potato with kale and Italian sausage)
—Chicken Noodle

Best as a side:

—Tomato soup
—vegetable soup
—clam chowder

I am bringing this thread back because I've just made butternut squash soup! I roasted butternut squash, bell pepper (I picked orange), carrots, green onion (I didn't have a leek!), and a shallot with olive oil and some seasonings.

Its so yummy!! I absolutely adore having an immersion blender and getting to make soups like this.

Uhhh I definitely like soup but it's not something I eat regularly. Usually when I'm sick. I'll usually chicken vegetable soup or brocoli & cheese soup.

Today it was won ton soup, I made it myself from scratch and cursed a lot with the wrappers dough, it was hard to get it thin enough and fold them all pretty but it was still delicious, not pretty but good! Wish it had more ginger in the soup but someone stole my ginger

I don't eat soup very often, but my favorite kinds are chicken noodle soup and tomato soup. I especially love having tomato soup with grilled cheese and dipping the grilled cheese into the tomato soup!

Hey Skar, I made lasagna soup a couple of weeks ago. Omg soooooo good!!!! I made a mental note to find this thread and tell you, but forgot until now lol!!!

Thought I had a picture of it but I don’t. Here’s one from the recipe I found online though.

Hi everyone, I'm back with another soup opinion! I tried cioppino recently and it was really good!

It's a Californian-Italian invention involving a tomato-based broth and a bunch of fresh seafood chunks plus veggies. I thought clam chowder was my favorite fishy soup but this one's definitely giving chowder a run for its money! I love that you can taste a variety of seafood from fish to clams and mussels and even crab!!

I can't imagine my day without soup. I usually have basic ones like chicken or mushroom but I love other kinds like squash, tomato and vegetable. Most soups where I live aren't creamy but I prefer the creamy variety of soups more.
