Found Raymond at my campsite!!! has anyone else found good villagers in theirs?

I found Raymond as my first campsite visitor when I first started playing. I've had a few popular visitors, like Meringue and some of the wolf and deer villagers, visit my island via the campsite, more so than if I was island hopping.

My best find personally was Cranston (my new favorite) and Tangy who I will be inviting back onto my island soon.
I had a few other popular villagers or my friends' dream villagers like Ankha, Ruby, and Truffles.

Define “good” villagers. I had Raymond in my campsite too but I don’t like him. When island hopping I mostly get octopi and wolves. Technically “popular” but not what I would ever call good villagers. My best find was Bubbles on an island by accident when I was gathering wood. She’s my favorite peppy.
Always happy to see love for bubbles.
They get so much hate online but I don't get it.
Theyre far from my favourite villager but theyre pretty cute. Certainly underrated.
I had raymond on my island but I just never clicked with him. When I got his photo it was time for him to leave.
Makes me kinda wish we all lived in a vacuum where we never got to see others opinions on villagers

He was the best camper I ever got, actually! It was last summer but I still remember it very clearly.

I had Raymond as my first camper too and on my second island I got Zell who is my favorite smug. I've had a lot of cute villagers in my campsite. So far I've invited Willow, Olivia, Pecan, and Roald from it. Olivia is my absolute favorite villager and I was so excited to see her in the tent because then I wouldn't have to island hop for her.
That’s awesome you got Raymond. I have not seen him yet. I have had some great villagers. I got Aurora, Static , and Joey from my campsite and they are still on my islands. I had Dobie in my campsite but he kept wanting to kick out villagers I was keeping. Luckily finally found Dobie to on a mystery island.

I also found Reneigh, who was my most wanted of the new villagers added in New Horizons. She was my most wanted sisterly personality. I found her using the campsite method. And she was the VERY FIRST sisterly to appear via the method. Super lucky.

Depends on what you call 'good'. Both Hornsby and Ursala showed up in my campsite after I had already decided I'd want them at some point. They've now both been around for quite a while and Hornsby is probably in my top two for favourite villagers.
If by good you mean popular, though, I've skipped on villagers like Sherb, Pashmina, Tia and Merengue. Depends on what you're looking for, I guess. Personally I'd skip on inviting Raymond too.

Personally, my favourite campsite finds so far have been Agnes and Sprocket. Agnes is probably my favourite sisterly villager, while I wasn't very interested in Sprocket until he showed up in the tent. He has grown on me a lot since I've gotten to interact with him on my island. ^_^

I'm not usually very fortunate with my campsite villagers and most of the ones I've had I wouldn't class as good villagers, sure they'd be great to other people but usually for me they're villagers I don't like or have no interest in.

At first I wasn't sure about him, I knew he was popular but I'd never really considered having him but as he was my first visitor to the campsite I had to take him and very quickly grew attached. He was one of the first villagers in NH to give me his photo and I really liked the friendship he seemed to develop with Judy (they were always together), I kept him for months and while he isn't on my island anymore I hope to get him back at some point in the future.

If we are talking about popular and/or rare villagers, we (my daughters and I share an island) were lucky to have run into both Marina (Mystery Island Tour) and Zucker (visiting the campsite) in a week and a half span. They both live on our island now.
My most heartbreaking campsite visit was Teddy. It was shortly after Marina moved in. Teddy was my buddy in New Leaf. Came to the island not too long after I started the game and stayed until I finally rebooted the island. Never once asked to leave and was still there whenever I took extended breaks. So I was absolutely ecstatic when he showed up at our campsite. Unfortunately, when I asked him to move in, the game chose Marina for him to replace. I just couldn't bring myself to do it as my kids were so happy to have gotten Marina.
We recently had Ankha visit. But again, they wanted to kick someone off I was absolutely not going to part with (Sherb)
