Free-Write Contest

After the AC Writing contest, I decided we needed a free-write contest too. So, here we are.

About: This is a free-write contest, so write anything! Limit of chapters is 5. Keep it appropriate and yes, you may write about AC if you like.

Deadline: October 9th. Judging will begin on this date. Stories should be sent to every judge. The results will be posted by October 11th.

I want to enter but I need to know if November's writing contest is a free-write as well. Plus the limit of chapters is only 5. :c

I can extend, but how many chapters will your story be roughly?

My story is still in the works and as of right now it has three. I still don't know though. I just thought five chapters is a bit restricting and really takes away 'free write.'

You can put as much as you like into a chapter. 5 chapters should be enough to introduce the main characters and delve into the plot. I'll probably extend to like, 15, but still.

I'd love to get back into writing. I think the deadline is pretty quick, though. Just a suggestion, but maybe push it back a bit? A week to write is a tad bit stifling. Regardless, count me in! Does poetry count? Just wondering.

Five chapters isn't really all that explanatory. I know authors that dump 20k words into a single chapter, and some that struggle with a thousand.
