Going on an Island Hopping spree to recruit new Villagers. Wish me luck!

So I adopted Zell from the campsite and have acquired a new plot for my 7th villager.
I'm going to embark on some island hopping now.
Was wondering if there are any tips or tricks I should know about?
From what I gathered, the villagers might include more cranky or snooty types since these personalities are missing from my island but people have reported that other personality types will pop up from time to time.
I'll try not to be too picky and just go with someone I find at least pleasing as I know chances of meeting Zucker are very slim.

Awww I got Norma but from my first island excursion after my 2 starters and I asked her to move in. She's such a cutie.

I'm actually really happy as the Smug personality has got quite a few uglies.

I wasn't too familiar with her because she was include in the Welcome Amiibo batch of villagers and I always considered Merengue as my Normal to go but I think Norma might have won me over.
She's got these two cute braids at the back of her head too. Just precious.

i just finished island hopping and gave up because i couldn't find anyone rly decent (i'll just let myself be horrified/excited when i find out who's coming tomorrow), but i found: snooty, jock, peppy, jock, jock, peppy LOL

I found Audie today while island hopping! Sending all good vibes your way! Island hopping has really become one of my favorite parts of the game.

wow... that's a lot of tickets. I definitely don't have that many to spare. I think I'll spend a max of 5 and see what happens.

After inviting Ed (meh) from the campsite, I also went island hopping to find my 7th villager. I went to a total of 10 tours. First tour, I saw Olive. She’s alright looking but I’m not familiar with her plus I want other cubs more. So I moved on. Got a mix of horrible lazy, jock, snooty and cranky villagers for the next second to ninth tours. I don’t have as much miles to spare since I’m gonna do the same for the next few days so told myself the tenth is the last tour I’ll go to. If I don’t see anyone I like, I’ll let the game pick a random move in for me. When I got to the tenth tour, I found Whitney. Got her. So she’s my snooty now. I’ll try the same routine tomorrow for my 8th villager, hopefully cranky.

So I didn't expect I was going to say this... but I recruited Boyd on my 3rd trip.
Again, since he's from the Welcome Amiibo series I wasn't too familiar with him... but he's a cranky gorilla with a naked butt.
The minute I saw his bum I just had to get him.
He's so ugly-cute it's perfect perfect. He looks super angry but has got red cheeks.
Before that I met Broffina the hen and Renee the rhino... so that's an extra confirmation from my side that you can encounter various personality types.
