Mafia Greek Cultists Mafia: Cult Surrenders! Town Wins!

Whatever I know I won't get elected so I've voted for somebody I think can make an informed decision, although still a shot in the dark.

Ok, so I'm debating between two people:

1) Jello

They're so vague... LaBelle's quote showed this perfectly. They don't really do much besides say "hi I exist I will follow the herd". And according to their sign up thing, they were more experienced than this being their 1st game. So they're playing way too passive. Also their point about PB just making one liners seems kind of odd when they don't talk about anyone else who's relevant in the thread. Though I am curious:

What'd you mean by the post you thought was sus on Starry's part?

2) Oath

I don't feel like Oath's done anything bad per say, but the fact that I feel like he hasn't been in the game at all up to this point. Looking back on what he's posted, the most he's said are who should be pres (based off meta), been salty about my play from last game, mentioning people who're suspicious of Kit (without giving an opinion himself), and mentioning a meta suspicion of Ness (without any more mention of it after that one post). His only contribution was a mention of being suspicious of the KitKat train, and being low-key suspicious of both of us because of it, which.... No.
http://www.belltreeforums.com/search.php?searchid=5038743

However, I'm thinking about Kit/Starry as well. Kit's kind of a weird case for me because I feel like she's replied and actively contributed/felt free enough to joke around, but she's also been wishy-washy and kind of went from 0 to 100 with him. Starry has a few incredibly wishy washy posts as well, but I cannot read them for the life of me.

As for justice, my view of them is a lot more town alligned. My main gripe with them got destroyed, and something about their anger makes me see what they're saying as unfiltered emotion, which makes me think town.

Key difference between justice and Kit for me is that Kit was more panicked I feel, while justice was more angry.

I've been in the game, just not as much as usual. I just got back from work, and I have finals this week (currently actually doing my accounting final online rn anyways).

If I have to hazard a guess, I'd be suspicious of LaBelleFleur for basically being inactive and popping in once, similar to last game, I do feel like Ness is doing the same distraction tactic as of last game.

I'm a little confused though, as to why you're calling me out specifically when Starry has been way more wishy-washy than I have, and I would argue that you're really only going after me because I'm kind of an easy target. "Oh, he's slightly inactive. I can go after him instead of actually making a case on someone."

Nah, Starry's definitely on my suspect list (for wishywashiness). I'm just never confidant with how I feel about her cause I read her completely wrong one game where I thought she was town and she was mafia, and I don't wanna do the reverse thing, either.

The problem with you for me isn't necessary being wishy-washy, it's that you don't really state much of an opinion. That's one right there, and I definitely appreciate that, but before that point you've been kind of "eh" in terms of actual opinions you've posted. Like you posted one thing about ness here and one thing about Kit there, but none of it was something you followed up on or gave further opinion about. You just did one and done.

I don't really know what you want me to do :/ Those two were really the only people that stuck out. And it's not like they really did much to comment back so I couldn't say much.

On the contrary~

I think you need to reread a bit more before you jump to that, because LaBelle and me seem a bit bias right now.

But yes, i do think lynching you is the wrong call, i wouldn't say you're cult for being innactive. But if we did do that, A)it wouldn't be you because you're making contributions to the town and B)Innactivity doesn't really mean anything most of the time.

Can you wait like 5 more seconds please this I swear XD
What time is it in Austraila?

I'm sorry, did I miss something here?

You know nothing of my "regular" behavior. I haven't played a Mafia game in over a year.
But thank you, let me speak.

First off, Ness, you are taking my quotes out completely of context.
Let's take a look and dissect this argument.

I think we'll deal with Ness's defense first,

"So yeah, just because I'm acting like scum doesn't mean I'm scum this time! Right guys? Anyone with me??"

This sounds incredibly hypocritical on your part, especially when compared to this post from earlier,

"pls stop looking at me I'm not scum this game I swear oh woe is me!"

Moving onwards...

"Don't attack for my play style but.. Don't get mad at me if I attack you for yours and call yours out as scummy!!"

Hypocrisy appears to be your biggest flaw, Ness. Let's take a look at these quotes..

"She reminds me of one of the scum strategies I used last game"
"Yeah I'm doing it this game but hey it's just my playstyle.
My self-admitted scum playstyle!"
"Whoops!"

Ness's response..

"Okay okay, I accused two people for their scummy playstyles and yet defended my own behavior as my playstyle,
but hey! That was just a "reaction test!" right?!"

That brings us to our next point!

Let's see what Starry had to say about that...

Starry I couldn't have said it better myself!
That proceeds into a huge argument which I'll be taking many, many quotes from as this post progresses.
Ness then states their opinions on who they think sounds like a good president, but the only one I care about obviously is what they think of me <3
Ah, you don't like my posts, they rub you the wrong way and you stole Oath's whole #KitKatforprez argument, which I had already admitted was a joke in a response to him because you couldn't think of any actual reasons besides the fact that I frustrated you.
Well with nothing really against me, I'm sure your post is over here right?
Wrong.
Ness goes to talk about some more defensive stuff that I already debunked, and then brings up this

Cool! We don't really seem to be very friendly towards one another as of late but hey at least you had the dignity to save yourself the embarrassment of trying to lead a lynch against me and saying I'm your #1 suspect for said bias, right?

Oh dear... Here we go..

"3-Gonna jump on the wagon with Oath on this one, really it's way too hard to make a judgement at this point"

This stood out to you.. Why? Because I said exactly what almost everyone else said to answer this question? That I didn't know who to lynch because I didn't have enough to make a judgment on the first day?

"I don't know about the others. I want to say Oath is mafia just for the heck of it though."
I'm also the one that added the "oath is mafia" tag to the thread before it even started. It was always a joke! You even asked me about it? What on earth is so odd about that?

"Eek I'm scared I don't know who to side with :("
I said that only because I was getting hearing two different messages and was questioning whether or not to trust Sarsakat. Whatever those guides told you, being unsure of who to lynch first day and not knowing how a player behaved in the past and being confused when hearing two different messages about said player is not abnormal scum behavior. What would you have done differently in that situation?

With that whole post out of the way, let's look at some other suspicious interesting posts from Ness, shall we?
This thing starts off with a post from Starry, stating what I have also stated here and something that you, again, admitted yourself.

(I'd like to hear more from Rune in general if possible actually, they haven't posted much..)

There's some more posts that don't really add on much, you guys can go back a few pages and read the whole deal if you'd like.

"it was just another one of my tests" In a few posts this point will be moot.
"Just scum hunting" Yet I'm not believed to be cult by you? I'm just considered as your #1 Suspect for bias reasons ah almost forgot.

Rune to the rescue. I feel like this argument just kind of shows us exactly why having Ness as a president is a bad choice. Even if Ness isn't scum, we cannot have a president making crazily impulsive decisions when they're mad.
It doesn't come down to just being town or not, it's about leadership skill.

Maybe because of how easily you can get upset? Would I give a trigger-happy criminal a gun because sometimes they aren't trigger happy?
You CAN be a good leader Ness and as horrible as this entire posts sounds, it's really not meant to insult you.
But Rune is right. You can't have a good leader who gets so upset so quickly and who fights with bias instead of evidence and logic! Keep reading those guides and harness that skill, I know I made god knows how many mistakes with my early games a year or so ago.

Hypocrisy! Oh sweet hypocrisy~
No, they find you suspicious because they don't believe your test to be true and see it as a cover-up for the fact that you made a mistake.
Meanwhile your whole argument against me was because of again, personal bias, I frustrated you, with lack of no actual evidence.

Speaks for itself.

Nope, and neither have I!

I wish you had thought about that last part again before you made your defense post as your defense post was basically an effort to fix everything wrong about this post, so you must have gone back and looked at it again.

I half-want to lynch pillow bunny just because she isn't posting anything of sustenance. But I digress..

"Oh how the herd is following"
"Unless it's Kit of course. If it's Kit it's fine! :D"
Starry wasn't trying to lynch you at all! She was just pointing out the obvious flaws in your behavior and how, again, self admitted, they seemed scumlike!

Ness says something mean that they later apologize for, then leaves to clear their mind.
Do I suspect Ness? Well, a little. I don't think they qualify as a prez candidate at all due to what I've said earlier and scum-like behavior just still doesn't seem reliable enough for me.
Also, this just bugged me.

You mean, Starry. And only Starry. And only Starry because Starry jumped on the non-existent bandwagon for a lynch vote that hasn't even begun. Even Ness said they didn't want to jump to conclusions and that they were just suspicious about me, not that they wanted me dead because they were sure I was scum.

It was hazarding a guess though.

Well, yeah i can see why you would think that. But i'm saying you're not using any new material, you're using material that you used while you were innactive.

what how did that get in there???

@Oath It wasn't like opinion was settled on them at the time. The thing with Kit was alright (albeit with little evidence, but it's D1 so what can you do), but you said "So it looks like Ness is getting lynched?" iirc. It felt like you were saying "Hey I think X." without really supporting it
