Here's my entry! While the image itself might not look spectacular to an outsider, the room and the feast I recreated means so so much to me. I used to work in a boarding school for children with special needs and we used to celebrate all festivities in our music room/library. Seems like an unconventional space to be consuming food in, but the kids loved it there and it was the coziest room in the house. For Christmas, we lit the fireplace, decorated the tree and then sat around a small wooden table decked with christmas goodies. It was tradition to hang bunting from the huge, old bookshelves during festivities. We usually had a lot of guests for Christmas, so people were sitting on extra chairs, couches or simply on the floor, singing carols, playing games, knitting and chatting away.

Due to the pandemic I was not able to visit for a long time and I miss everyone terribly. I had a lot of joy recreating this little scene and will probably decorate one of my rooms in animal crossing like our music room permanently. In the spoiler below I attached an image of the original room. The real photo was taken two years before the pandemic - so there's no tbt username name card here - you just have to take my word for it that this really was our library/music room ^^

Aurora is my favorite villager, so I offered to help cater and wait on her family as they gathered for the holidays! Needless to say, I became a much better fisherman when preparing this feast!

Here's my feast! I tried to replicate my past family Christmas dinners that are usually at my grandparent's house. Even though I couldn't have a feast with my family this year I was able to have a feast with my villagers in Animal Crossing!

I will need to explain my winter feast picture below.

A few years ago, when I was a young man in the Air Force without much means to my name, I lived and worked on the east coast while my immediate family lived out west. One Christmas I wanted to visit my family, and believe it or not, the cheapest tickets I could find for my return had me fly back late on Christmas evening.

The vacation with my family was great, and one of the best Christmases I've had... however, the same day as my flight back a blast of cold air from the North met a lot of moisture in the Plains states which led to a nice, disgusting wintery/blizzardy mix for my travel back home. My layover for Christmas evening just happened to be Minneapolis... which promptly shut down the instant I arrived.

My Christmas dinner that year was a sandwich and some chips with some angry/tired flight staff and some frequent flyers that were resigned to their fate. I remember sleeping that night on two green plastic chairs (almost exactly as in the picture below) and leaving for home over 26 hours too late... my back hurts to this day just thinking about it sleeping in those chairs. But... visiting family in a tough year was worth the hassle of the flight back.

Happy Holidays everyone, and a very Happy New Year!

For my feast scene I invited all of my island villagers along with several gyroid friends too! I am of course the chef and organizer for this festive gathering.
