Has anyone else had a crush on a villager before?

At a certain point, I do! I always am in love with my beloved koala gal Canberra. At first, I never really cared about her in Animal Crossing, until I began to make a Sim of her in Sims 3, then my love for her get skyrocketed high to the moon, and now I fell in love with her ever since. xD

Not with Animal Crossing characters. I've become very fond of some of them, but that's it.

I may have had a bit of a fictional character crush on Professor Layton, though, so there is that.

When Wolfgang first moved into my WW town I thought he was a great villager, I really liked his design and colour scheme and thought it was nice how friendly he became with me despite the cranky personality. I’ve since had him in every AC game that I’ve played as he’s a villager I’m pretty attached to and while I’ve never really had a crush on him as he is, when I was young and first getting to know him I did think about how great a human Wolfgang would be, so more of a crush on what Wolfgang could be rather then on the actual villager. Though this only really crossed my mind briefly while playing WW and I’ve never really thought about it since, these days I just see all my villagers as good friends of my AC characters.

Maybe when I was younger, now I just joke about it (Using Genji, since he is my most favorite male villager).

no, but i wouldn't feel too bad about it. it's pretty common for younger people to have crushes on fictional animals -- anthropomorphic or otherwise. while i never had a crush on an AC villager, i did have a big crush on tigress from kung-fu pand. i think 'animals' like that are so far removed from real ones that it isn't exactly a concern or anything even if you're older.

No, never had a crush on a villager. Like others have said, they’re portrayed in too much of an immature way for me. Plus they’re animals. But I did consider them friends when I was a kid growing up.

I have had crushes on game character tho, you’re not alone. Arthur Morgan from RDR2

Anyways. I was still a kid when I got WW and I can still vividly remember some of my first villagers. Ralf had a house to the south of mine and I ended up developing a crush on him. However, I noticed that he was friends with Margie, maybe at a birthday party, and I got jealous and would always hit her with my net and make her upset.

Avery would talk all deep to me and send me similar letters, so I began writing on the notice board that we were dating haha. When he left without warning I laid seashells where his house had been and eventually built a tribute windmill there. I put a note on the noticeboard demanding nobody talk to me...except Ken, who became my new conquest haha.

Tbh most of this was done to entertain my friends, rather than real crushes.

Aw man, I just pulled out a memory for the recesses of my brain...

Back in either 2007/2008 I was in early middle school and would play ACWW with one of my friends all the time.

One day, I had a sleepover at her house. Her sister who was a couple of years younger also had a copy of the game and we had fun all playing together. At night, my friend and I were in one room next to each other and her sister was in her bedroom. We went to visit her town, and she specifically told us not to look at her bulletin board.

Well, my friend and I devised a plan. One of us trapped her inside of a building using our character while the other made a dash for the board. She realized what was going on and started to get upset in the game but we made it to the board and a few pages back there was a full-length message filled with exclamation points going on about how she wanted to make out with Tortimer.

So many good memories with that game...
