Have most players playing since launch collected the majority of the "ordinary" DIY's?

I'm asking because I recently hosted a DIY giveaway and got very little interest despite bumping up the post several times over a number of days.
It pains me to see the DIY's go to waste where I could potentially be helping out someone who might need them but I also hate the fact that they're cluttering up my basement so I think it's time to move on and just sell them.

I'm getting to the point where I am just going to throw them away... except for the more desirable ones, the common ones are hard to even give away. I want 5 stars and an organized house, but it's impossible with all the diys.

I like the whole sharing and trading aspect, but they should have included a way to store them or trade online without having to visit an island.

I mean, same happened to when I tried and sell Marina. I figured that nobody wanted her because most people already have her. So I gave her away because I didn't wanna void her. Thankfully someone adopted her.

But of course, this game is too new for stuff like this to happen. Maybe in the next few months/years there will be more new players (Or those that restarted) that'll want some stuff just like DIY Recipes.

Also also, if it was a DIY Recipe that is very common/essential for someone to get, they might not have wanted it.

I've played since launch and I struggle with understanding what's considered "ordinary" DIYs. Some people got the clothesline in like the tutorial phase if I'm not mistaken? and the wooden mini table? I had to go buy them off of people, and I was surprised people were carrying all these basic DIYs like the natural garden set and like pots and stuff. But then again who knows, some people might not have gotten those

I just only carry rare ones now - ironwood stuff, golden stuff, wreaths/crowns, etc

I did get quite a few DIY's through trades and I recently went villager hunting so I picked up some new ones on the Islands.
When I think of the special "non-ordinary" ones I usually go by the special wreaths or flower crowns, the Celeste DIY's and some others like the ironwood dresser or cutting board that are highly sought after.
I guess there's always gonna be that one DIY that a player might be struggling to get though.

I had the same thing with Octavian.
No interest and someone finally adopted him but I thought he would be voided.

It's really unfortunate the DIY's can't be stored as I was thinking of just that. Obviously, there could still be potential new players and people restart all the time. Sadly, I don't think it's worth hanging onto them as it's essentially taking away from my ability to set up my house the way I want to,

Sorry for the double reply but I also purchased a set of DIY's when Nook's Cranny first opened up, which unlocked extras. Not sure if that would have included the ones you mention or not.

Np! Yeah I have the Nook's Cranny ones lol. I don't remember the name of it but the DIY for that wooden low round table thing was given to a lot of people through their first HHA letter - whereas people like me got a tissue box instead. Also the furniture you have to build for the starter house plots can vary, so that's probably why I didn't have the clothesline DIY

I am not sure but maybe people who love to trade have already traded for most of the DIYs they want at this point. I think some people even already own all the seasonal DYIs. I am still missing many of them like the annoying ironwood dresser because i dont have an online membership yet and thus can only trade with my brother.

Oh yes... You're right.
I got the tissue box, too. Don't actually remember getting DIY's in the mail off of the top of my head.

It's a relief to read this. I'm missing the clothesline and the log bed, but when I looked them up to see which villagers craft them I just kept reading that I was apparently supposed to have gotten them automatically during the villager house building phase. I was wondering if something went wrong in my game.

I’m still trying to find simple panel and sign post. Not sure what others I don’t have yet. Is there a complete list someone can link to?

If not for Nookazon and here, I'd be nowhere close. But because of them, I do have all the available-since-launch-in-Northern-Hemisphere recipes. Just need the seasonal, holiday, and remaining zodiac recipes.

I give them away on discord. Like I put the all on the ground and let people after people get them. A diy giveaway has at least 10-15 people lining up there, and I always manage to get rid of all diy's, even if they are basic. So I say move your trading to discord! I no longer trade on tbt bc its so slow. :(

I don't think so, I'm still missing some fruit clothing DIYs and some bamboo items. But I'm not sure what the "ordinary" diys are 😰

I also have been confused why some people have wanted some DIYs, but I have seen people needing like the birdbath, which I thought was something given to me, but maybe I just got it early on I'm not sure haha. I guess some 'ordinary' ones come through tutorials and whatnot and are different for others C:

i think a lot of folks have their white whales of DIYs (mine is the garden bench), but it definitely seems like folks have gathered the bulk of them. the trade boards seem overwhelmed with DIY giveaways and shops, but fewer buyers for the regular DIYs.

I haven't been on top of it due to time. I still need 118 regular DIYs at this moment.
I truly appreciate you doing giveaways, hopefully I may participate at some point haha.
Maybe do them weekly and sell the excess?
