Have you seen the ocean for yourself?

Yup I went to the Atlantic multiple times since it borders with France!

Many times! In fact, I'll probably be heading there again in a couple months from now!

Live in America, but swam in it while I was in England a bit ago!! Love the Great Lakes more than anything though

yeah, i live a short drive away (10ish minutes or so) from the ocean. going to the beach for walks is great : )

Only once from what I can remember (the joys of living in a landlocked province...). I was about 7 and we were in Massachusetts for my uncle's wedding. We stayed at a cabin in Gloucester the first night, and the Atlantic Ocean was right outside the door.

I am landlocked but I've been to the ocean a handful of times. But I hate being at the beach and the ocean so I don't go very often.

I like the ocean. But I really don't like swimming in there. I feel very anxious because I don't see what's underneath. And I feel all sorts of stuff beneath the sand. I fear that a crab or any other sea creature would bite me.

I live very close to the ocean so yes. Oddly since moving here, I've only gone swimming a handful of times. I loved beach vacations as a child, but as an adult, I hate the feeling of sand D:

Yes, of course. I've been to the ocean many times. Many beaches in multiple countries. I have even been lucky enough to snorkel and dive in them. I prefer swimming in the ocean than in a pool, in a river or in a lake.

I'm completely landlocked now, which is bad because I love water so much. But also good because we have really safe weather patterns where i live.

My favorite ocean spot was destin, florida. The beaches were so pretty and the water was super clear. The rays would swim by us, which was cool but also scary. I don't think they were dangerous. I'm just a chicken haha. When we went it was off-season and fairly empty.

Lots of times, I’ve been to various oceans and seas and, often go to the coast in the U.K. especially as my grandparents lived in a coastal town until recently. Sea air is lovely and there’s something about being able to see it in front of you that’s just lovely.

yes, I currently live somewhat near a beach so I see the Atlantic Ocean a lot. I probably go a handful of times a year. I don’t be swimming in it though (since I can’t swim) but I like to get my feet wet every now and then. I’ve also been to plenty of beaches when I lived in cali so I used to see the Pacific Ocean a lot as well.

Yes! During my time in the Philippines, many of my family members lived near the sea, and we spent much of our time at the beach. We often travelled by boat from one island to another and occasionally went out fishing. It was incredibly peaceful being surrounded by the ocean, taking in the fresh sea air, and feeling the gentle rocking of the waves beneath the boat. At night, once back on land, the soothing sound of those same waves would help me sleep, it was quite relaxing.

I’ve been to both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, as well as the Gulf of Mexico. And for the Atlantic I’ve been to many different points of it.

I’ve also been to multiple Great Lakes, which are not oceans but are amazing how huge they are, especially as freshwater bodies

I have been to many beaches, but I am just now realizing it was never my explicit goal for vacationing until a few years ago during the pandemic. Something about quarantine triggered me into wanting a different scene and even despite masks and a 6 hour drive, we made the trip to the ocean.
There are several lakeside beaches near me, but I wanted to see a vast endless body of water. My college roommate told me that screaming into the ocean is not just a thing in Korean dramas— and she was right, because I screamed like crazy and felt so much better about life, lol.
My favorite beaches were in Hawaii, the Caribbean, and Spain. I have a scar under my foot from stepping on a sea urchin at the beach in Vietnam, so I won’t forget it. I would probably not go back to the beach along the Texas coastline again unless it was planned by someone else. I would love to visit Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, and maybe a cold Baltic Sea beach. I haven’t been to the Northeast US for a beach yet, either.
Ok sorry for the stream of conscious dissertation…

Yes! I've been on plenty of seaside holidays growing up. A few years ago my mum moved to the seaside so when we visit her we are a 15 minute walk away from the seafront which is lovely. I've also been abroad and enjoyed the beaches there.

I love the ocean and have been able to visit a few oceans and beaches. I’d love to live closer!

I went to Aruba with my family twice in the past. I did a little snorkeling in an enclosed shallow area; aside from that I did not go in the ocean. I also went horseback riding there a couple times; I loved it so much! ☺️ Since I was experienced riding they let me go a bit ahead of everyone 🙂 and also gave me one of the livelier horses to ride ☺️.

I have been on many vacations where there were beaches and oceans. All of them were very fun and they are great memories!
