I'm hoping to meet some of my other friends in person soon as well, I can't wait for that day

update to this, I've now met three of my loveliest friends in person: @/Foreverfox, @/Shellzilla_515, and ofc @/Xara!! I'm so grateful for the opportunities I've had, and the many more opportunities to come!!

and maybe someday I can meet even more people from TBT in person, if they're not too shy hehehe

Protip: If you go meet someone irl for the first time: get yourself hotel room. I once visited a friend who is married and has children and being the hospitable people they are, they lodged me in their home for a few days.<3 Buuuut they're strict with their children and the secondhand embarrassment was real. Can you not yell at your kids while we're playing video games? I flew my ass over from Chicago to hang out and have fun, not watch you discipline your children. Had fun, but jeez... next time, I'm booking a hotel, dude.

Nope. Everyone I’ve met on this site are all too far away to realistically meet up. I think I’m the only active user on here from the Pacific Northwest region of America.

I have met internet people irl though! They were people I met on a friendly Discord server for a local anime convention. Most of them I either interacted with for months online. Oddly enough they all acted exactly the same as they did online. These kinds of meetups give me really bad social anxiety and I’m in fight or flight mode the entire time I’m there. Over time I loosened up and was able to talk okay. Being called Neb in person felt very strange at first, but now I love it. It feels like a real nickname now.

I actually did just recently met with @Aquilla for the first time. We are lucky enough to live pretty nearby - what is kind of a miracle considering us both living in different european countries. It was really fun and I am sure we will met more often now

A trip to Europe/US is very outside my budget too (I've never been outside Asia, lol). Lowkey jealous, it would be nice to meet someone from TBT in person ;w;
